The good thing about locating this resource in Dune: Awakening is that it appears quite early on. This allows you to craft better things in the initial sections of the MMO. However, as mentioned, you'll have to go through some minor hoops first.

To start, you'll need to research and create the Cutteray Mk2. It costs about five Intel Points, which makes the൩ tool relatively affordable. Even if you have the Cutteray schematic, ensure you have enough resources to♈ make the tool.

It requires at least ten Iron Ingots and seven EMF Generators.

The Cutteray can't be crafted in൩to the Crafting menu. After you research it, you can find and make it in your Fabricator at your base.

Once you've made the Cutteray, you have to be in the area where Carbon appears. There are deposits of Carbon piles scattered throughout Eastern Vermillius Gap, but for a high concentration of the resource, head northeast of Eastern Vermillius Gap into Hagga Rift.

Carbon piles are usually plentiful in this region, but with that being said, they won't appear in open spaces. The best place to look for them would be at the base of the large rock structures and on cliffs.

To spot Carbon piles, look for stones that are covered with gray and white crystals.

After you've found a pile, you can examine the rock 𒊎as you would for any ot🍎her resource and then break it down.

If you don't have the Cutteray Mk꧂2, you can still get Carbon Ore without the tool. Instead♕ of trying to cut the stone pile down, you can pick up Carbon Ore beside any large Carbon Pile.

What you extract directly from the rock pile will be the Carbon Ore. You won't need to refine it.
