"With A Bit More 🌌Time To Cook, We Can Act On A Lot More Of The Feedback": Dune: Awakening Has Been Delayed To June

Looks like it's going to be a Dune June.

Early on, you'll meet NPC trainers who can give you access to other skill trees. One of these can be found quite early on, and give🎃s you access to the Trooper . Here's how to complete this quest.

Where To Find The Trooper Trainer

The Trooper Trainer in Griffith's Reach Outpost in Dune: Awakening.

To start the Trooper Proving Grounds quest, you'll first need to find the trading outpost known as Griffin's Reach Tradepost.

You can find this tradepost in the starting area of Arrakis, far to the west.

While you can find this area on your own, the quest 'A Touch of Civilization,' which is unlocked early on as part of Dune: Awakening's tutorial, will help guide you to this region.

Once you've reached Griffin's Reach, enter the main structure.

Near the southernmost doors, you'll find a character named Ghavouri, who is labeled as a 'trainer.' Open a dialoꦓgue tree with Ghavouri and ask to l🐲earn from him.

While exploring Griffin's Reach, talk to various merchants and check out the contracts board, which is super helpful for early progression.

From there, Ghavouri will offer you a contract to track down and kill various enemies of his across the desert.

Simply accept the contract to trigger the quest, and you'll be well on your way.

How To Complete The Trooper Proving Grounds

A player character takes out an enemy bounty in a cave on Arrakis in Dune: Awakening.

Once you've triggered this quest from Ghavouri, you'll receive a checklist of enemies to take out at various locations. These are unlocked one at a timꦿe, and appe𒁃ar on your map.

  1. Kill Aatu Golven in Kaleff's Stand
  2. Kill Kirsi Tol In Shamal Tunnel
  3. Kill Cardanus Ulun In Edgeway Cavern

Kill Aatu Golven In Kaleff's Stand

First, you'll take out Aatu Golven in Kaleff's Stand, which can be found to the east of the Wreck of the Alcyon in Hagga Basin South.

Head to the point on your map, and look for the rock structure known as Kaleff's Stand, which has a tunnel entrance covered with netting.

Cut through this netting to find Aatu waiting inside. From there, kill him with one of your weapons to complete the first leg of this contract.

Many of these enemies carry explosives on their person, and will explode themselves when killed. Once you take out Aatu, back away quickly!

Kill Kirsi Tol In Shamal Tunnel

Next, you'll want to head even further east of Kaleff's Stand toward Shamal Tunnel to kill Kirsi Tol. Just like before, approach the tunnel entra🎃nce, which is coﷺvered in netting.

Remember, you'll have to use a melee weapon like a knife to cut through these nets, so make sure you have one in your inventory.

Once inside, repeat the same process, killing Kirsi and backing away to avoid explosion damage.

Kill Cardanus Ulun In Edgeway Cavern

Lastly, you'll want to head southeast to Edgeway Cavern.

This location is once again marked on your map. Just as before, the entrance to this cavern is covered in fibrous netting.

It's a lot easier and quicker to find all of these locations if you have a vehicle prepared and researched.

Just make sure you have materials to repair your vehicle if you traverse the desert in this way!

Cut through, and kill Cardanus like before, and then harvest any loot you can find.

Report Back To Ghavouri

The trooper skill tree in Dune: Awakening.

After you've killed all three of his enemies, you'll be prompted to return to Griffin's Reach Tradepost.

Simply speak to Ghavouri, inform him that you've completed his contract, and he'll train you in the ways of becoming a Trooper.

From there, you'll have access to the Trooper Skill Tree, which you can spend skill points on at will.
