Dune wil𝔍l join the Fortnite universe later this week. A leak has revealed skins and 𓆉other items just a few days before the movie hits theaters.
Nintendo might have stopped adding new fighters to Smash Ultimate, but no such thing has happened to Fortnite. While the game's crossover characters might not get the love and attention Smash fighters receive, Fortnite's growing roster is pretty impressive and it keeps getting bigger. Next on the agenda is Dune which hits theaters later this week.
Epic hasn't confirmed Dune's crossover just yet, but a number of different Fortnite leakers have shared what exactly will be added to the game, presumably at some point this week. Main characters Chani and Paul Atreides will be immortalized via their very own Fortnite skins. They actually look pretty similar to the stars playing the characters in the movie, which isn't always the case for Fortnite skins.
A variety of other Dune-related items will join Chani and Paul in Fortnite when they eventually arriveꦍ. Both will have their own backbling, a couple of Dune-themed pickaxes will enter the fray, as well as a glider, an emote, and a loading screen. Dune is one of a number of movies that should have been in theaters a while ago but its release date was delayed thanks to the pandemic. The ambitious sci-fi blockbuster based on a book of the same name has a star-studded cast which includes Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, and Zendaya. Since it's a Warner Bros. movie, Dune will also be available on HBO Max when it's released on October 22, 2021.
