The Adventurers League recently announced an open call seeking writers for Tier 4 adventures. D&D Adventurers League (DDAL) admins are wanting to inspire and aid more game designers in writing DDAL adventures💛, and so are attempting to get those people interested in doing so to write and send in their submissions by 5 p.m. EST on Friday, July 24th, 2020.
In the official Open Call post, DDAL admins explained they know writing for D&D can be a daunting task, made even more intimidating when trying to write in accordance to the DDAL rules. However, they are also aware there are people out there in the wild who have some fantastic ideas for D&D adventures, and they want those people to know their ideas are wanted and needed, and are hoping 🅠the Open Call will help motivate people to get their adventures w🃏ritten and into the DDAL program.
To that end, the DDAL admins have established a set of guidelines for what they’re looking for in your Open Call adventure submission. First, your adventure must be in the official Forgotten Realms setting. Your adventure must be a single Tier 4 (levels 17-20) encounter, with a word count of 500 or l🌠ess. Adventures must be a single page without art, and that includes maps and layouts. Adventures must use the CCC pack template, including styles. And your adventure must be submitted in docx format (OpenOffice or 💦PDF submissions not permitted).
The DDAL admins also wa🍌nt you to know that you don’t have to write your adventure alone. Collaboration with your adventure designer peers is welcomed and encouraged. You m♑ay even seek out quality feedback for your submissions from the DDAL admins and community.
Once you have your Tier 4🐠 adventure written, there’s a simple four step process to follow in order to get it submitted. Download the CCC pack for the adventure template, c🧸heck that your footer info includes the encounter name and your email address and nothing else, fill out your contact info on the submission form, and finally, upload your adventure. That’s it.
The submission window for the ༒Open Call cl𒀰oses on July 24th, 2020, at 5 p.m. EST. Submissions are limited to one per person, and any deviance from the official submission guidelines will have yours rejected without further review.
