As the spellcaster with the most limited amount of spell slots in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dungeons & Dragons, warlocks sometimes get the short end of the stick whenever a party isn't provided with a short rest. However, many of these qualms can be alleviated thanks to the fabulous powers of magic items.
A 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:warlock equipped with the right magic items should be capable of maintaining their spell slots nearly as well as a half-caster like a paladin, ranger, or artificer. There are numerous magic items available to warlocks that allow them to use their charismatic charms without expending their precious spell slots. There is also a handful that can provide them with access to spellcasting outside of those slots. Consequently, don't be afraid to request that your DM provide your character with the opportunity to purchase, discover, or otherwise inherit these items for your own amplified enjoyment.
8 Medallion Of Thoughtꩲs
Starting off the list with a roleplay-centered magic item, the medallion of thoughts allows its wielder to cast the Detect Thoughts spells multiple times per day. This spell is perfect for getting a read on what other NPCs are thinking and can even be used to pry i💜nto their minds at the cost of them knowing about it.
Due to their charisma-based spellcasting, warlocks often want to be involved in conversations with NPCs. One thing that makes influencing people with conversation a lot easier is being able to read their minds. After all, when you think just like the NPC you're speaking to, they're bound to listen to what you have to say.
7 Eyes Of Cha🎐rming 𓄧
Another item useful for enabling warlocks to more readily influence NPCs with spellcasting is the Eyes of Charming. Using this item, a warlock can cast charm person (DC13) up to three times per day. As a warlock, it feels really bad to use your spell slots on social interaction-related spells like charm person. At the same time, this is 𝕴also sꩵomething at which the class excels.
As a resuඣlt, the eyes of charming are a perfect item to give a low-level warlock so that they can feel more like a spellcaster and less like a hex battery. A g♏ood philosophy around magic items, in general, is that they should look to allow a character to do more of or be better at something in which they are already skilled.
6 Staff Of Charming ꦉ
The staff of charming is essentially the upgraded version of the eyes of charming. It allows the caster to access charm person, command, and comprehend languages using their own spell save DC. Additionally, a creature attuned to the staff who fails the saving throw for an enchantment spell can choose to succeed instead once per day. Whenever you succeed on a saving throw against an enchantment spe✅ll that targets only you, you can use your reaction to expend a charge from the staff and turn the spell on its caster.
Needless to say, it comes with a lot of nice upgrades. And that's without mentioning its handiness 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:as a beating stick when necessary. While the additional effects of the staff likely won't come up very often, it's easy for a DM to engineer situations in which they do in order to make your resident warlock feel even more powerful.
5 Pearl Of Power 🥀
Perhaps the most common reason players avoid the warlock class is their limited spell slots. If you really give the warlock level chart a look, they only have access to two spells up until level 10 and three spells up until level 17. Despite regaining spell slots on a short rest, that's an extremely limited number of slots.
The pearl of power helps remedy this issue by allowing warlocks to spend an action to regain a spent spell slot. Unfortunately, the spell slot that returns can only come back as high as a third level. However, it would be easy💧 to homebrew this item and tailor it to a warlock, allowing it to restore higher-level spell slots as well.
4 ღ Broom Of Flying
The warlock class is as close as we get in D&D to a witch class. Consequently, the broom of flying is the perfect item for them. The broom provides its wielder with a 50 feet flying speed as long as it's holding less than 200 pounds or a 30-foot flying speed if it's carrying under 400 pounds. It's incapable of flying if carrying any more weight.
The most common strategy for warlocks is to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:rain down ranged eldritch blast cantrips on their opponents, and the broom of flying makes warlocks much, much better at this. After all, it's hard for many enemies to attack a character that stays in the air. It should be said that introducing this item will add additional work to the DM when constructing combat encounters, as you will need ranged or flying enemies to threaten the warlock. Additionally, it's recommended that you don't give this item out before level five when spellcasting classes gain access to the fly spell.
3 ﷽ Ring Of S💯pell Storing
Like the pearl of power, the ring of spell storing is a solution to the limited amount of spell slots warlocks have available. Unlike the pearl of power, this magic item allows warlocks t♓o store up to five levels💛 of spells inside of it. In other words, you could store the ring with five first-level spells (such as hex), a second-level spell and a third-level spell, or a single fifth-level spell.
The ring of spell storing is an especially great magic item because it gives the player character tons of options on how to use it. That being said, it's recommended that warlocks use at least a couple of slots for hex. After all, hex is a concentration spell, and it can easily be accidentally dropped even when cast at higher levels for eight or 24-hour durations.
2 C🍌auldronꦑ Of Rebirth
We've already talked about gifting our warlocks with a flying broomstick, so it's only natural that we throw in a cauldron to boot. The cauldron of rebirth is an especially flavorful magic item that's absolutely perfect for providing a warlock with the ability to become the party's impromptu healer. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can use the cauldron to create a potion of greater healing.
Additionally, the cauldron can be used to meet the component requirements of the scrying spell, and you can use an action to make it grow large enough to fit a medium-sized creature inside, which is honestly hilarious. Nothing to see here; there's just a giant cauldron in the middle of the road. Lastly, the cauldron can be used to resurrect a creature if its corpse and 200 pounds of salt (worth 10gp) are placed inside the cauldron for 8 hours. This resurrection functions similarly to the casting of the raise dead spell with the added benefit of not requiring the sacrifice of a 500gp diamond.
1 💮 Rod Of The Pact K⛦eeper
Finally, we come to the rod of the pact keeper. This rod not only provides the same benefits as a pearl of power (without restricting the restored spell slot to a maximum of level three) but also increases the warlock's spell attack modifier and spellcasting DC by a number equal to the rarity of the rod.
This is a very simple item to gift a warlock as a magic item that grows in power alongside them. You could have the rod grow more powerful as the warlock does, but we would recommend that the warlock's patron tasks the player character with quests to make the rod more powerful as the warlock grows in power. This makes the rod of the pact keeper an amazing source of player backstory quests while also strengthening the warlock's link to their patron. Stay pactin'.
