But even the five different Metallic Dragons are not all the same. They share similarities, sure. Like their legendary actions and resistances, ability to change shape, their Gargantuan size, and all belonging to one of the Good ali𒀰gnments. However, what about their differences? And which one of them comes out on top?

This list focuses on the Metallic Drago🐭ns that are listed in the Monster Manual for D&D 5th Edition. It also primarily focuses on the Ancient versions of these Dragons.

5 Brܫass Dragons 𒀰

The fiery Brass Dragon is a chaotic good creature with a long list of abilities, much like the other Metalic Dragons. It also boasts some pretty good stats, like a 20 for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:their Armor Class (AC), fire immunity, and nearly 300 hit points on average. The only ability they don't have a bonus in is Dexterity, but can you blame them? They are giant, fire-breathing creatures, after all.

Unlike Chromatic Dragons who only have one breath weapon, all the Metallic Dragons have two in their arsenal. For the Brass Dragons, that's their fire and sleep breath. Of course, the fire breath is all about doing damage, but the sleep breath is a way to disable a party, or at least a couple of its members, by putting them to sleep instead.

4 🅺 Copper Dragons 🉐

The Copper Dragon comes flying in with beefier stats than the Brass Dragon, boasting a higher Dexterity, Intelligence, and Wisdom. This variation of the Metallic Dragons also has an immunity to acid that matches their acid breath weapon that can deal, on average, 63 poi♋nts of damage to their foes.

Its second breath weapon is called Slowing Breath. If you're caught in this and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fail a Constitution Saving Throw, you're going to have multiple problems to deal with. Your speed is halved, you can't take any Reactions, you have to choose between taking an Action or a Bonus Action and you won't be able to make multiple strikes against this Dragon.

3 Bronze Dragons 🦹

This Dragon is a master of lightning and stronger than the Copper and Brass Dragons. Not just because of its Strength stat, but also when it comes to their AC and hit points. It's also harder to dodge their breath weapon. Their lightning breath will deal an average of 88 points of damage to you if you fail, and you have to roll a total of 23 not to.

Then there is their repulsion breath. And not repulsion as in gross, though a Dungeon Master (DM) could always decide to go down that path with it. Instead of putting the party to sleep or slowing them down, this weapon hurls them back 60 feet. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Thanks to the legendary actions of the Ancient Bronze Dragon, they can combineꦰ this with their Wing Attack to knock the players prone, ideally before repulsing them.

2 𓃲 Silver Dragꦍons

The Silver Dragon is a lawful good creature that thrives in the cold. When it comes to overall movement, they are a bit weaker than some of the other Metallic Dragons who have burrowing, climbing, and swimming speeds. It's their stats that propel them higher up in the food chain. In fact, their Strength Modifier is in the double digits with a cool ten that they get to add to any Strength-based checks.

A Modifier refers to a number you add to anything yo♏u roll. So, if an Ancient Silver Dragon has a Strength Modifier of ten, that means you add ten to whatever is rolled on the dice.

Their secondary breath weapon may be one of the most unforgiving. It's called paralyzing breath, and it does just that. For one full minute, you can be completely paralyzed. Though, of course, you have a chance to shake it off if you roll higher than a 24 for a Constitution Save.

If they use their Wing Attack after paralyzing you, you'll automatically fail, which means taking damage and being prone, on top of, you guessed it, still paralyzed. Yikes.

1 Gold Drago♔ns 🅰

Feeling A Little Weak?

Someone over at Wizards Of The Coast liked 🗹fire brea꧟th so much, they gave it to both the Brass and Gold Dragons. However, the Gold Dragon does it better, causing an average of 71 points of damage when they use it.

Though there isn't much that the Gold Dragon doesn't do better. They have the highest stats of all of the Metallic Dragons and an average of 546 hit points, so you'll have to hit them quite a few times before they show any signs of weakness.

Another big difference for the Gold Dragon is its weakening breath. This makes it so that all of your Strength-based rolls are at disadvantage, meaning you roll two dice and take whichever number is the lowest. The unfortunate thing about this Dragon's design is that their fire breath and wing attack require a player to roll a Dexterity Saving Throw, not Strength.

It's still a very strong ability as it affects any attack that is based on strength, which means if you're fighting the Metallic Dragon with the highest hit points, you may be missing a lot of your swings 𝐆or stabs if you are hit by this breath weapon.
