Sorcerers in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dungeons & Dragons are known mostly for their incredible Metamagic abilities. Metamagic is a unique class feature for Sorcerers that allows them to manipulate their magic in ways that other spellcasters just can't, whether it's changing the damage type of spells or being able to duplicate the spell so that it's cast on two different targets.

D💎ungeons & Dragons: Best Magic Items For Sorcerers

Here are the best items for sorcerers in D&D!

Either way, it's clear that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sorcerers can get a lot done with magic. However, with so many different optౠions available, it may be hard to pick which is the best one to use. Thankfully, we have you sorted with our ranking of all the official Metamagic options for sorcerers in Dungeons & Dragons.

10 Seeking 💞Spell

You Can Seek Better Options Than This

The Seeking Spell is perhaps the weakest option when it comes to metamagic. It allows you to spend two sorcery points if you miss an attack roll to roll it again and use that. That's it. You don't get a guaranteed hit or even a bonus to your attack, and it costs two entire sorcery points to use.

Safe to say, it's definitely not worth the cost of rolling just to have a chance of missing again.

9 Heighteꦫned Spell

This Metamagic Doesn't Reach Great Heights

Another me🦩tamagic option that seems too costly is Heightened Spell. This would allow you to spend a whopping three sorcery points to make one target have disadvantage on a saving throw against your spell. This means if you use Fireball, you could only make one of the targe🔜ts caught in the spell have disadvantage on their Dexterity saving throw.

Once again, this metamagic just isn't worth the cost. Although it could be situationally useful against a boss battle, there are other options that would serve you better in the long run.

8 ෴ Careful Spell

You'll Have To Be More Careful If You're Using This

Though it isn't very costly, since it only requires one sorcery point, Careful Spell is just too dangerous to be used. This metamagic would allow you to choose a number of creatures up to your Charisma modifier to succeed on a saving throw against your own spell.

However, if you're casting a spell recklessly enough to have your own party members caught in the crossfire, then a success won't do much (especially since, in most cases, it just means they take half damage).

7 Distant S🔯pell 🐓

Go The Extra Distance And Perhaps Skip This One

Though it seems like it may be an issue that needs to be solved, the range of your spells will hardly ever be a problem, especially if you have 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cantrips like Fire Bolt that extend out to 120 feet. That's why Distant Spell is such an odd metamagic option, being able to let you spend a sorcery point to increase the range of your spell.

Because a 15 foot cube just won't cut it.

It's not a great metamagic option, but the fact you can also change touch range spells to one of 30 feet could be useful. So it's definitely not the worst option to pick.

6 ♔ Extended Spell

Make Utility Spells Last Longer

Similar to Distant Spell, Extended Spell is just a little too niche to be used seriously. This Metamagic can allow you to double the duration of a spell by spending a sorcery point, which is helpful for ritual spells like Leomund's Tiny Hut, but there aren't many spells that need their duration to be extended.

Most spells that only last a short time, like a minute, are mostly ones you'd use in combat (where ten rounds is plenty of time), but it's still somewhat useful. You can keep an eye on this if you think it'll help.

5 🦩 Transmuted Spell

Now we're getting onto the good stuff with Transmuted Spell. The Metamagic is everything Sorcerers should be able to do, able to spend a sorcery point to change the damage type of a spell. It won't work for every spell, but the specifics aren't too important. as the Metamagic is still useful.

Dungeons & Dragons: 💫The 13 Damage Types, Ranked

There are many different damage types in Dungeons & Dragons, but which ones﷽ are the best? These are undeniably great.

1

It only gets outshined because the spell you're manipulating has to do a certain type of damage and can only be changed to an elemental damage type (such as cold, fire, lightning, etc.). The other Metamagic options are far too powerful to ignore.

4 ﷽ ♈ Empowered Spell

Begin Dealing Heavy Damage With This Metamagic

Have you ever rolled a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fireball or Lightning Bolt and got annoyed at the numerous 1s and 2s you had around? Well, this Metamagic seeks to stop that. You can spend a single sorcery point to reroll a number of t𒊎he damage dice up to your Charisma modifier.

This means that you can really stack up some damage when you reroll some low numbers for a spell that has you rolling a lot of different dice. It's a fantastic Metamagic option for any combative Sorcerers out there.

3 ⛄ Subtle Spell

For The Stealthy Sorcerers

A truly underrated Metamagi⭕c option is Subtle Spell, which allows you to cast spells with no verbal or somꩵatic components. This means that you can cast the spell subtly for the cost of a sorcery point.

Though it may seem very situational, there are a lot of places where you may want to cast a spell (such as in a crowded city, a gala, or any other social event), but you can't make it too obvious. It's also a great way to be able to cast spells from a stealth perspective (pairing well with the Shadow Sorcerer subclass).

2 ꧑ Quickened Spell

Run The Battlefield With This Metamagic

Now for what is considered the S-tier of Metamagic options, we begin with Quickened Spell. This allows you to spend two sorcery points to change the casting time of a spell from an action to a bonus action. This is incredibly useful in c🤡ombat, allowing you to create some never-before-seen combos, such as being able to cast Haste and use it on the same turn.

Don't forget that it also leaves your action open to cast a cantrip, though some have house rules to let you cast two spells during your turn, which significantly makes this Metamagic even better.

1 Twinned Spell🌟

Become A Master At Magical Manipulation

The best metamagic option, however, is Twinned Spell. You may use sorcery points equal to the level of the spell you're casting to duplicate it and target another creature (so long as the original spell only has one target). This means you could cast a healing spell and heal two different targets, use Greater Invisibility on two teammates, and much more.

It can be pretty costly, but it is a fantasℱtic use of sorcery points and the absolute pinnacle of magical manipulation that Sorcerers can do.
