Plenty of different pre-made adventures are available for you in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dungeons & Dragons. One such adventure is that of Shadow Of The D🐎ragon Queen.
The city of Kalaman sees conflict on the horizon as the draconic hordes of Takhisis grow ever closer. You'll face a series of different challenges and monsters on your quest to fight back against these dark powers. Just as varied as the dangers of this quest are the ways to begin such an adventure. Here are the best ways to start your journey with Shadow Of The Dragon Queen.
10 🥀 💧 A Portal Opens
While most DMs will probably choose to run this as a standalone adventure, there are ways to connect this to a larger campaign 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:or homebrew world.
One such way is with good ol' interplanar travel. Portals between realms are far from unheard of in the world of D&D, so why not take a break from your party's normal escapades to help another world in trouble? This is a great option for the DM that needs a little more time between games to build 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the next arc in their homebrew world.
9 ♋ ꦜ A Fallen Friend
There are many different reasons to take your 🐎party to the to🦂wn of Vogler and begin the adventure. The Dragon Queen book even suggests a few ways.
One such way is the funeral of Ispin Greenshield. Funerals of such lauded heroes are becoming more and more 🧸popular as the draconic army continues across Krynn, but this one may stand out, especially to some or all of your players. Having them all make a connection to the fallen hero is a great way for them to meet right before the action begins.
8 𒈔 ꧋ A Ship From A Far Land
Another great way to connect this adventure to an already-created world is by having your party 🎐come across a ship to a faraway land.
It may not be as mysterious as a portal between realms, but it also allows for some sea-based relaxation 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:or oceanic horror as a session zero. Rumors of a war in a far-off continent and the need for heroes might be all you need to get your party boarding the next brig to Krynn. It's also a solid option if you have a character with a sailing or pirate background to tie that in.
7 A Night At The Fishbowl ♛
The Fishbowl tavern in Vogler sees plenty of different types in times like these. A few more adventurers surely wouldn't be out of place drinking at the bar or eating by the hearth.
You really can never go wrong with the classic tavern opening. It allows for plenty of roleplay as your characters run into one another, and there's always the option of a barfight breaking out if you think things could use a bit more spice. Starting them off already in Vogler will save some time getting them there, too, if you're in a rush.
6 ﷽ Relaxing After Battle
The Dragon Armies are spreading through Krynn like wildfire. So it isn't much of a stretch to say that all your players have already encountered them.
Begin your adventure as your characters are recovering from a fight with The Dragon Queen's followers. This allows for some fun and interesting roleplaying as they get to interact with one another after a stressful moment. Placing this in the woods nearby Vogler is a good way to push them in that direction, seeking food and rest.
5 🤡 Campsite Interrupted 𒁃
The roads throughout Krynn are perilous. As night falls, sharing campsites to ward off danger isn't a bad idea.
As your individual players come across the camp, they can meet and interact with one another for the night. Maybe even sharing food and stories of travel as they do so. In the morning, who's to say it wouldn't be easier to travel to the nearby town together? Or, if you want to be a bit more nefarious: maybe something does seek to attack them in the night?
4 The Kin🎶gfisher Festival
This festival is an annual celebration of the forces of Solomnia defeating Istar many years ago. There's plenty of celebration that would draw people from all around.
Merchants. entertainers, soldiers, and all sorts of player characters could be interested in this festival. Have them tie this into their backstory, and getting them to Vogler should be a breeze. Have them meet outside the town, at the gates, or run into one another inside as they're celebrating.
3 Recruited
Your party has been asked to aid the military of Krynn with protecting Kalaman to the best of your abilities. As adventurers, your party doesn't have to follow normal troop movements, which adds to your freedom of moving around.
Whatever your reason for taking them to Vogler, this will give them a little bit of extra purpose from the beginning. Not to mention it's a good background tie-in for any character with a military background.
2 ๊ Hired Guards 🤪
With things getting worse and worse out there, it's becoming smarter and smarter for merchant caravans to hire extra guards. And what better guards than a pack of adventurers?
You can have them all hired on solo contracts and meet each other on the road to Vogler. Whether it's a normal journey or a stressful one is up to you entirely. This has the added benefit of having 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a few NPCs gossip about the setting and curre💞nt even🔯ts to increase connection to the game.
1 Escaඣpe From Thornwall Keep
If you're looking for a little more chaos in your opening, there's always Thornwall Keep to look towards. You can have your players think of some crime they've been imprisoned there for.
Minor or major, false charge or misunderstanding, it doesn't matter, so long as they have a reason for finding themselves in a cell there. You can have them released as long as they will help in the fight against The Dragon Army, or have them plan a daring escape if you have the time.
