- Inspiring Smite allows you to distribute temporary hit points upon you and your allies after you smite an enemy.
At level seven, the oath of glory paladin gains the Aura of Alacrity. With this aura, your paladin and your nearby allies gain an extra 10 feet of movement
Level 15 brings Glorious Defense. After you or a companion gets hit with an attack roll, you may grant a bonus to the target's Armor Class equal to your Charisma Modifier. You can use this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, per long🎐 rest. Save this reaction for particularly close rolls.
Your level 20 feature, Living Legend, gives you three options to use. For one minute you ca꧂n:
- Gain advantage on all Charisma checks.
- Choose to hit on one attack per turn that you miss.
- Use your reaction to reroll a failed saving throw.
You have one use of Living Legend per rest, more if you expend fifth level spell-slots. Be ca☂reful about which you use. Each option is beneficial, but consider which situation you are in. If you are fighting a powerful spell caster, rerolling saving throws will do you more good than being more charismatic.
In addition to these features, you have everything that defines a paladin. Features such as Lay on Hands allow you to heal, Smite allows you to deal extra damage, and your Auras of Protection and 🐬Courage🍌 keep you and your party safe.
The Oath of Glory also comes with oath spells. These spells do not count against the total amount of spells you can have prepared, while always being ready for use. Options such as Heroism, Enhance Ability, Haste, and Magic Weapon, are very good options that should be utilized.
Best Ability Scores For An Oath Of Glory Paladin
Paladins are dependent on multiple ability scores, meaninಞg they cannot be c𒁃arried by having one high base stat. Your paladin needs to have decent-to-high scores in a few key stats. Consult the table to see what each stat can do for your paladin:

Strength |
It is very likely that your paladin will be using Strength-based weapons. Therefore, if you want to be productive in combat, you must have a high Strength. |

Dexterity |
Dexterity is a very powerful ability score within Dungeons & Dragons. However, it is not as important for a Paladin. Aura of Protection protects you against Dexterity saving throws, and the heavy armor🍰 you are likely to wear gains no benefit from a high Dexterity. |

Constitution |
Constitution is an important stat for all classes. This is even more true for paladins, who need Constitution for concentration and to fulfill their role as a tank. |

Unless you want the bonus to your Religion skill, Intelligence is of limited importance to the paladin. |

Wisdom is another skill that isn't needed as much for Paladins. Paladins do not need a high wisdom, as their Aura of Protection helps with saving throws. Paladins also do not typically rely on most Wisdom-based skills. |

Charisma is a very important stat for your paladin. It governs your spell-casting, healing, and many key abilities. Always keep your Charisma high. |

Best Species For An Oath of Glory Paladin
There are a few things to consider when choosing the species for your oath of glory paladin. If you play with customized origin, you have the freedom to not worry about what species have the right ability scores, yet if you are not playing with such rules, prioritize a species with a bonus to either Strength, Constitution, or Charisma. The following species all have something that can help your oath of gl🍬ory paladin in some way or form:

Aasimar |
Not only does the angelic imagery of an Aasimar make for a compelling paladin, but their ability and features synergize well with the class. They have a +2 bonus to Charisma and, depending on subspecies, you can get a +1 to Constitution or Strength. Any of the aasimar's Celestial Revelations have their benefits too. The ability to frighten enemies can be very helpful, as can flight, or passive damage. |

Dragonborn |
Dragonborn work quite well with a paladin, commonly getting an ability score increase to both Strength and Charisma. Their breath weapon is effective in handling groups of enemies, and resistan𒆙ces are always bene🍰ficial. |

Duergar |
Traditionally, duergar have a bonus to Strength and Constitution. Yet the main draw of this species is the ability to enlarge yourself. When enlarging yourself, you gain advantage on all Strength checks and saving throws and deal more damage. Duergar are a good choice fo๊r many paladins, serving as powerful and magical Dwarves. |

Dwarf |
Dwarves as a whole can make for great and classic paladins. With a +2 bonus to Constitution and either an additional +2 Strength (as a mountain dwarf) or +1 Wisdom (as a hill dwarf). The hill dwarves +✤1 hit point per level is also a very nice extra. |

Tiefling |
Though Fiendish in nature, the tiefling can make an excellent and intriguing paladin. With a +2 to Charisma and various spell-like abilities, tieflings fit well as a non-traditional paladꦕin. |
Best Spells For An Oath Of Glory Paladin
As a paladin, you will want to reserve some spell slots for various smites. Yet, do not discredit the effectiꦫveness and impact that other🔴 spells can have. Spells such as Heroism or Magic Weapon are good choices that are not mentioned here, as they are already prepared through the Oath of Glory subclass.

Best Starting Equipment For An Oath Of Glory Paladin
The paladin's role in a party is often one of protection. They are typically front liners who take the brunt of attacks. As such, a high Armor Class is important. When creating your paladin, you could choose a martial weapon and shield, five javelins, and an explorer's pack.
The explorer's pack has items more suited towards adventuring compared to a priest's pack, and the versatility of javelins in both ranged and melee combat, make them more useful compared to only one simple weapon. When choosing a martial weapon, select one that can be wielded in one hand while still causing damage. A longsword is a perfect fit.
