Unearthed Arcana is the name of a series of articles that contain playtest material for Dungeons & Dragons. The cont▨ents of each article are intended to offer alternatives to published material for personal use in campaigns. The latest Unearthed Arcana can be found and has alternate material for every class. The first new addition is Proficiency Versatility, which applies🌠 to every class by letting them switch a skill proficiency upon taking the Ability Score Improvement feature.

A barbarian can switch Danger Sense for Survival Instincts (giving them new skill proficiencies) and switch Fast Movement for Instinctive Pounce (move closer to an enemy when they end their turn within fifteen feet of the player). Bards gain new spells, the Magical Inspiration ability (lets spellcasters add Bardic Inspiration dice to a damager or healing dice caused by a spell), and Spell Versatility (lets them switch a spell after a long rest). Clerics gain new spells, as well as Cantrip Versatility (switch a cantrip upon gaining a level), Channel Divinity: Harness Divine Power (burn a use of Channel Divinity to regain a first level spell slot) and can switch out their 8th level ability with Blessed Strikes (deal an additional 1d8 r🍎adiant damage per turn).

Druids gain new spells and Cantrip Versatility, as well as the Wild Companion feature (burn a use of Wild Shape to temporarily summon a fey familiar). Fighters, rangers, and paladins gain access to four new Fighting Styles. Battle Master fighters gain access to several new manoeuvers. Monks c♍an choose to specialize in a weapon and gain new Ki abilities. Paladins gain two spells from the cleric cantrip list, as well as the Channel Divinity: Harness Divine Power feature.

Rogues can enhance their Cunning Action with Cunning Action: Aim (gain advantage on next ranged attack but only if the player hasn't mo🌼ved and they cannot move after using it). Sorcerers gain new spells, Spell Versatility, and new Font of Magic & Metamagic options. Warlocks gain new spells, Spell Versatility, the Pact of the Talisman option for the Pact Boon feature, and nജew Eldritch Invocation options. Wizards gain new spells and Cantrip Versatility.

There are a lot of options here and dungeon mastജerꦫs might want to think carefully before letting a player use them. The Cunning Action: Aim and Magical Inspiration abilities seem ripe for abuse by canny players, so be sure to not allow anything that you don't feel comfortable with using in a campaign.
