According to the beta registration page, the multiplayer test is not “representative of the final product, but it will give you a glimpse into the world of Agartha and the mechanics of Dwarfheim.” Beta players “will be able to play as the Miner, Warrior or Builder class,” and should give players and the developers a solid feel for how well teamwork tasks operate in DwarfHeim.

DwarfHeim is aiming to be the first of a new video game genre: a combination of competitive RTS and city-builder game. A team of one to 🔴four players will control a small clan of dwarves to build, manage, and defend their city cooperatively against another team of one to four players controlling either a rival clan of dwarves or a roving band of trolls. Players will use their choice of classes and abilities to gather the resources reqღuired to lead their clans to victory.

DwarfHeim’s co-op style is being designed for players to stick to a single class for a game’s duration, encouraging teamwork based on class skills. Miners gather resources, construct machines and traps, and destroy enemy defenses. Builders construct houses and defenses, and support the team with healing skills. Warriors train the city’s army, and kill and loot enemy creatures for the gold used to equip their army with legendary weapons. The key to victory in DwarfHeim is for p🍌layers t🍸o use their class abilities strategically and efficiently for the good of the team and their city.
