Cyberpunk fans were treated to some swell news regarding the game's upcoming installment over the weekend, as it was announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will drop for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 16, 2020. Additionally, E3 attendees who formed the audience for Microsoft's presentation were treated to a close-up view of Keanu Reeves in the flesh. Reeves will be playing Mr. Fusion in the game, something which came asܫ a cool surprise.
It's not all rosy for the waiting fans, though. CDPR's global community lead, Marcin Monot, has conf✃irmed that the U.S. version of the game will only come in digital form for PC. So, players looking forward to purchasing the PC version in the States won't be able to get it in a box.
"To answer questions about the availability of PC version of #Cyberpunk2077 in the US. PC will only b🌞e available digitally," Monot this week. "All other countries where boxed PC game is being sold will have a downloadable code inside (both SE and CE). Hope this clears things up!"
Other regions in which the🐲 game is set to be sold on PC as a boxed item will get a downloadable code which will allow gamers to get it from CDPR's parent company's digital platform, .
CDPR hasn't offered an explanation as to why physical copies of the game won't be sold in the U.S., and fans aren't at all happy with the announcement. One fan, in particular, declared that he would be willing to pay extra fo🌜r the collector's edition even if it only c💙omes with a code. Others say they aren't keen on buying the console version in addition to the PC game just so they can get their hands on collector's items.
They don't appear to have given up yet either, and have been askin𓆉g if there's anything 💟they can do to get the devs to change their minds. A boxed collector's edition later down the line was also among the suggestions.
