In what many consider to be the best moment of the PlayStation Showcase earlier this week, a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake was announced for 𝓰the PS5. Aspyr will be heading the development in collaboration wit♌h Lucas𝔍film.
Aspyr and Lucasfilm have collaborated on many projects before, such as on ports of the original Knights of the Old Republic to iPhone and iPad. Since EA owns BioWare, which is the developer of the original Knights of the Old Republic game, it would make sense to wonder🍰 about EA’s place in the remake.
Game Awards Chief, Geoff Keighley, took to directly asking EA. Unfortunately, EA might ܫas well have not responded🦩, as its answer was vague and uninformative. to his Twitter, and it reads as follows:

It seems that the most likely explanation is that EA is not involved with the💫 Knights of the Old Republic remake, but it doesn’t want to say that directly because it doesn’t ღwant to take away from how dedicated it’s been to Star Wars games?
Whatever the case, BioWare made it clear that it is not involved in the remake at the very least. On BioWare’s official Twitter page, it shared that readꦉs, “We’re proud of the work we di꧒d on the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and genuinely cannot wait to play Aspyr’s Remake! As we continue our work on Star Wars: The Old Republic, we will watch with great interest. May the Force Be With You.”
