During a Q4 FY 2020 conference call, EA confirmed it intends to release multiple titles for the Nintendo Switch before the end of the year. Previously, EA stated that it was releasing Burnout Paradise: Remastered on the Nintendo S🐠witch, but it was unclear whether it were plannin♏g to do the same with any other titles.

On June 11ꦰth, EA will be hosting a digital showcase event, during which it will announce news and world premieres of its games for 2020. It's during this event when EA may announce which titles it's releasing for ܫthe Nintendo Switch, possibly including new games, remasters, and remakes.

Until then, fans are speculating on which of their favorite games may make it to the massively popular mobile console. Some on Twitter have asked for the Mass Effect trilogy, Titanfall, and the Dragon Age series. Others believe the only EA game viable for the Switch is Madden NFL, among other multiplayer games. Otherwise, it's likely that a Switch version of The Sims 4 will be released, given that many previous Sims games were made for the Nintendo DS/3DS.

Before EA teased its plans for the Switch, many had been wondering why EA wasn't releasing as many games on the console as other video game publishers. During an investor call in 2019, said EA was reluctant to port or publish any games for the Switch because "a great many Switch owners also own a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One or a PC 🎀and very often choose to play the games that we make on those platforms [instead]."

Now, it seems EA has realized the value of releasing games on the Switch, as many people buy coܫpies of their favorite titles for the Nintendo Switch simply for the flexibility the console provides. People enjoy bein꧋g able to play games away from a television or computer screen, regardless of whether they're confined to a single space or not.

Whether the decision to begin publishing on the Nintendo Switch indicates a positive turnaround for an otherwise defamed company is still to be determined. A good amount of Switch owners are families with children whose parents may not want them to be exposed to the myriad microtransactions littered throughout 🌳recent EA games.

However, many more Switch owners look forward to the possibility of playing some of their favorite games on the go. Hopefully, EA will give out more information on its plans for the Switch during the digital showcase on🍨 June 11th.
