The move is expected to solidify EA’s mobile games business.

The acquisition will create an impressive mobile product portfolio that includes more than 15 top live services with a combined $1.32 billion in bookings over the last twelve months. The portfolio comprises IP in✅ sports, lifestyle, RPG, casual and other genres and leverages EA’s global marketing and distribution clout.

Glu Mobile will also benefit from EA’s network of 430 million players, including more than 100 million monthly active mobile players. In addition, Glu’s expertise in dᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚeveloping successful sports and casual mobile games, combined with EA’s development and marketing capacity will acceler💞ate the creation of new games.

Glu Mobile, whose team includes more than 500 mobile game developers, was founded in 2001. The company, headquartered in San Francisco, has offices in Foster City, Toronto and Hyderabad. In 2012, Glu Mobile acquired Gamespy Technolo💫gies from IGN Entertainment and shut down servers for older games like the Star Wars: Battlefront series, Sniper Elite, Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Neverwinter Nights.
