Bugsnax developer Young Horses has shown🧜 off some🌌 rather disturbing footage from an early version of the game.
As reported by , the footage in question was uploaded to Twitter by the developers as part of a series of #ThrowbackThursday posts, showing off different versions of what Bugsnax could have been. The finished version of Bugsnax♒ has players seꦡtting traps to catch a variety of different food-based creatures in order to serve them to your friends. However, this early footage shows us that Young Horses originally had you dismantle them first.
The video shared by the developers shows a player throwing a net to catch an "Olove" and then viciously tearing apart the poor creature to earn points. The player first tears off the creature's wings and then finishes it off by pulling out its tongue and serving it on a plate. They then turn their attention to a passing Pinkle, catching it in a net and then pulling its legs off one by onꦛe. Bugsnax certainly would've been stretching its PEGI 7 age rating had this mechanic made it into the final product.
If the idea of pulling the limbs off of live creatures didn't upset you enough, another tweet♏ from Young Horses also insinuated that some voice lines had been recorded to make these horrific acts even more disturbing. It looks like the tweet was intended to be a joke, 💙but with a game as deceptively sinister as Bugsnax, it's difficult not to put it past Young Horses.
It was even revealed in January that Young Horses had a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:much darker ending in mind for the finished version of Bugsnax. Despite the fact that the ga💖me's actual ending🅺 revealed that you were unknowingly partaking in acts of cannibalism, Young Horses originally wanted the residents of Snaxburg to become Snak-crazed zombies that would eat each other and then you. Thankfully, the developer decided against it.
Bugsnax is currently available on PS4, PS5, and PC, although the developer recently revealed that it would be open to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:releasing the game on more platforms in the future.
