Eastward might sport a distinctly cute, retro aesthetic, but don't let that fool you into thinking that is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:all it has to offer. Chances are you'd be spending a good chunk of your time with the game in one of its many dungeons. And there is no shortage of monstrosities sprawled out across them, literally trying to bring you to your knees.
The tougher enemy encounters can be very unforgiving, requiring pixel-perfect timing as well as a good stockpile of healing items just to get through them. Thankfully, its silent protagonist is not your standard pushover, provided you equip him with the right tools for the job. And while the game doesn't give players much to work with by way of weapons, there is almost always an ideal use case for each one.
5 Bombs
There is nothing more satisfying than getting a group of enemies caught in the blast radius of some exploding crates and barrels you'd triggered with a well-timed bomb. But you'd be surprised by just how versatile bombs can be in Eastward.
They actually have more utility as a tool for solving some of the game's trickier puzzles, as they can be used to trigger switches as well as reveal hidden paths behind cracked walls, much like you would do 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in The Legend of Zelda. The game offers players three distinct variants to c💯hoose from, doled out over the course o💛f its adventure: a standard Bomb that explodes after a few seconds, a Floater Bomb that homes in on nearby targets, and a Remote Bomb that can be detonated remotely. Each type shares the same ammo count, as well as the level of effectiveness, both of which can be upgraded given the right materials.
4 Bang-Bang Gun 🧜
As generic-sounding as a Bang-Bang Gun is, it still manages to get the job done in those situations where you'd rather not get too close to an enemy.
The weapon is basically a glorified 🌳shotgun with a colorful exterior. Its range is not that great, but it works especially well against quicker enemies like the crows you encounter in the early portions of the game. Like all other weapons, it can also be upgraded at shops to increase the damage dealt and its ammo capacity. Ammunition is shared♑ across all your guns though, so it is best you use them sparingly or risk running out of ammo when you need it the most.
3 ꦦ Cog Shooter
The Cog Shooter is yet another gun that forms part of your overall arsenal in Eastward. It is one of the weapons acquired 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:during the latter half of the game, after the dif꧅ficulty ramps up considerably and players are faced with even tougher enemies.
It is actually a prop from a movie set you'll visit on your adventure but is nonetheless effective against certain enemy types. It shoots out razor-sharp gears which can be used to chew through enemies when needed. The gears also bounce off walls and around the room, making it great for making otherwise impossible shots from an angle. It can also fire through iron bars to trigger unreachable switches or levers to gain access to gated-off areas.
2 Scepter Of 🐭Flame
The Scepter of Flame is a weapon t𒉰hat is just as awesome as it sounds, with its ability to spew fi📖ery death upon enemies unfortunate enough to get caught in its line of fire.
Originally a squirt gun used by Alva's grandfather when he was a kid, the toy finds new life after the Sonic Punk repurposes it into a full-blown flamethrower. Its range lies somewhere between that of the Bang-Bang Gun and the Cog Shooter, making it great for medium-range encounters with stronger enemies. It also has a constant rate of fire that can deal continuous damage to multiple enemies at once. Just make sure to keep an eye on that ammo count. Other use cases include using it to solve environmental puzzles that involve setting fire to flammable obstacles like wild vines and wooden crates.
1 Frying Pan🙈
In a game already containing several weapons with multiple use cases, it shouldn't really come as a surprise to find that a frying pan is the most important one. Easily the most versatile item in your inventory, it effectively functions as both a cooking utensil and a melee weapon.
It is especially useful for keeping groups of enemies at bay, with powerful swings that stop weaker ones in their tracks or send them staggering backward. You can also perform a charged attack by holding down the attack button for a few seconds before releasing it, which deals a more powerful blow. Unlike the other weapons in the game, it is the only one that can't be manually upgraded at shops. For that, you'll need to progress through the story and unlock its two available upgrades at certain key points in the game. Both upgrades basically increase the amount of damage dealt, turning it into an even deadlier weapon of choice.
