Ed Boon has finally given us our first real look at Nightwolf, who is Mortal Kombat 11’s upcoming DLC character.
Nightwolf is on his way to Mortal Kombat 11; something we’ve known since his first reveal in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Kombat Pack along with Sindel and Shang Tsung. Shang Tsung arrived earlier in June, and players are still waiting to find out whether it will be Sindel or Nightwolf to come ne🍸xt. Although, Nightwolf's most recent teaser seems to make it clear which of the two will arrive first.
About two weeks ago, NetherRealm Studios director Ed Boon teased us with a side profile shot of Nightwolf along with a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pulp Fiction quote. This week, he’s here with a brief video o🐬f what could be 🥂Nightwolf’s intro scene from MK11.
There's not a whole lot of surprises here, given the teaser from two weeks ago, but we are at least shown Nightwolf's signature hatchet and ceremonial leathers. That hatchet also gets struck by lightning, a possible nod to Nightwolf's allegianc♋e with Raiden, the god of thunder.
Nightwolf's original design can be attributed to a contest held by Midway Games (the precursor to NetherRealm Studios) soon after the arrival of Mortal Kombat II. Fans submitted possible character designs with Midway picking the top three to become characters in Mortal Kombat 3. Nightwolf was selected along wi🐟th Kabal and Stryker.
Since then, Nightwolf has become one of the most widely known Native American video game characters of all time, along with Thunder Hawk from Street Fighter and Tal‘Set from the Turok series.
We still don't have a release date for Nightwolf, but since the trailer ends with "you're next," we're expecting him to arrive before Sindel now. A new DLC character every month sounds like a great way to keep Mortal Kombat 11's hype going, so we'd expect to see Nightwolf'🃏🍃s arrival before the end of July, or at the very latest, early August.
Stay tuned, Mortal Kombat fans. There i🦋s sure to be an announcement any♏ day now.
