It's been nearly a year since 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:FromSoftware announced💯 Shadow of the♔ Erdtree, and nearly two since first launched. We still don't know much about the upcoming expansion aside from what we can glean from the vague teaser art, but news might be imminent as an update was just made to Steam's backend.

As noted by Ziostorm on Twitter, the DLC category has been updated on SteamDB with a new package for the first time in two years. It doesn't have a name yet, listed as "Unknown App 2778580", but it's worth noting that all DLC in this section of SteamDB is extra downloadable content, such as the adventure guide, digital artbook, and bonus gesture, so this won't be a free update akin to the colosseum. Shadow is the most likely explanation.

FromSoftware could be pr🃏epari𓆉ng to announce and release the DLC soon, something backed by a collaboration with Thrustmaster (as reported by ).

Leaked promotional material revealed a set of controllers releasing in February to "sync with the new Shadow of the Erdtree expansion release". It fits with the backend update, not to mention that Pure Arts is launching its first Elden Ring collectable of the year ෴next mont🐷h.

Elden Ring might've teased the DLC as far back as 2022 with a tweet that read, "Your choices will shape the future of all who dwell in ⛄the shadow of the Erdtree".

That would mean that, if the speculation and leaks pan out, Shadow of the Erdtree was announced on Elden Ring's first anniversary and then released on its second.

We don't know much else as of yet, though fans have been eagerly digging into the lone teaser image to try and unearth as much lore as possible. But according to prominent leaker Lance McDonald, Elden Ring was originally going to have two expansions bundled together in a seas💝on pass before they were merged into one, resulting in Shadow of the Erdtree. It wouldn't be the first time this happened, as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bloodborne's The Old Hunters DLC likewise ✅began life as two separate expansions. At any rate, it gives us some idea of how big Shadow of the Erdtree might be.

As for official word on the DLC's release date, FromSoftware said in December that the expansion is "still a little ways off". Many assumed that meant it would launch in late 2024 - which could still be the case - but given the leak and backend Steam update, it might launch as soon as next month.
