As a fan who’s purchased and enjoyed every 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:FromSoftware 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Soulsborne game, I’m deeply excited by the prospect of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring. After years of open-world games slowly, yet surely, becoming stale, FromSoftware appears ready to sho🌌w us how it’s done. In early 2022, assuming all goes well, we’ll be immersed in deep, handcrafted environments, taking down grotesque monsters with nothing but plu🐠ck and skill.
That is, ༒unless you’re like me, a person who&rsqu൲o;s very bad at Soulsborne games.
FromSoftware’s games are known for their attention to detail. Every room serves a purpose. Every obstacle has a solution. Waking up in a dark prison cell or mystical world only 🏅serves to drive home that you’re in another place and another time. Which is great for the first few hours in which I feel like I might have a chance at this one until encountering the second🤡 or third boss and remembering I’m not good at this at all.
Soulsborne games have always prided themse𒉰lves on players’ ability to go almost anywhere they see, like the tutorial dungeon, and discover new surprising routes to seemingly impossible destinations, like slightly outside the tutorial dungeon.
However, Elden Ring promises a tꦅrue open-world in which players can play the game any way they want, whether it be trying to figure out how to beat an enemy that’s not even a boss to looking up online how to beat an enemy that’s not even a boss to watching a YouTube video of someone beating an enemy that’s not even a boss. Elden Ring will present ample opportunity to thrill aไnyone who has enough physical intelligence to remember that rolling and blocking are things.
You see that mountain? You see those caves? You see those forests? All ready to be explored and plundered unless you’re a 37-year-old man who’s spent 12 years trying to figure out why he’s so bad at this it causes actual embarrassment. Not to brag, but I was sucking at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Demon’s Souls before it was even cool to be good at it instead of very bad. And I must say, when I played the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 5 remake, I was hit by a wave of nostalgia for my 20s when I was slightly worse at these games. Li💙ke a baby playing. Like a sickly baby from the past when they didn’t even name children until they were, like, two.
But what really excites me about Elden Ring is the story. Sure, when fans think of Soulsborne games, they often think about fighting their way beyond the prison you wake up in and the bridge that everyone is mad you need to cross. But for over a decade, FromSoftware games have told subtle, yet incredible stories using enviro൲nmental clues and memorable characters. All of which are available on fan wikis for when you keep dying to basic ass skeletons that don’t even try that hard to kill you. You think playing through a story is good? Wait until you read a summary of thousands o🍌f years of lore written by a 15-year-old. That’s how the developers meant it to be experienced.
Of course, there are reasons to be wary of Elden Ring. At least, for fans who notice when the game has issu✅es because they actually understand the way it’s supposed to function.
This is a huge release for FromSoftware, and the company must be feeling an unbelievable amount of pressure to top themselves. As we’ve seen with some recent triple-A titles, this same intense pressure can make companies release a game before it’s truly ready. And while FromSoftware has an impeccable reputation, some of its PC ports in the past have left something to be desired. Soulsborne games are made to be difficult, but, importantly, also fair. It’s been a shame in the past when PC fans like myself couldn’t finish 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark Souls because of technical flaws and not because they can’t dodge to literal🤡ly save their fucking life.
Personally, I’ve tried to move a꧑way from pre-ordering games, so I’m still going to wait how these concerns play out, but I can’t help thinking that in just a few months, we may be seeing one of the greatest games of all time. I assume. FromSoftware is ready to do again what it did with Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro. I assume. Going by footage and descriptions alone, fans are going to have the time of their lives. I a🌊ssume.
I don’t know about you, but the wait until February to lie t🐻o my friends and say I beat areas that I didn’t even get near j♌ust got a lot harder.
