I love that part in the FromSoftware game cycle when players eventually turn the tables on the game after hours of taking a beating. We've gone from getting slaughtered by Malenia to summoning some dude with a pot on his head to solo her. We've gone from wandering about mysterious structures, to learning everything about ones that aren't even in the final game. And we've also learned that many Elden Ring players are monsters.
Players Have Started Confessing Their Worst Crimes
While Elden Ring is filled with nightmarish monsters, it also has the tendency to bring out the monsters within ourselves. This usually comes in the form of murdering NPCs to get their gear, or other harmless creatures just to see what happens - I hope the turtles forgive me. But hope isn’t always enough. Sometimes the guilt eats you up, and the only thing you can do is confess and ask for forgiveness – 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:like these players did on Reddit.
Here's an example of one of them: "I murdered Kenneth for a golden seed on my first play through because I was weak and desperate. Ended up with about 11 spare golden seeds by the end." Not only was the player remorseful, but Kenneth ultimately died for no reason.
Elden Ring Almost Let You Choose The Next Lord Of Stormveil Castle
One of the biggest differences to FromSoftware's earlier games is how open Elden Ring is. While there isn't much in terms of player choices that affects quest structure, FromSoftware expert Zullie the Witch has discovered that it could have been different.
Some deleted information uncovered via datamines suggest that, at one point, Elden Ring would let the Tarnished 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:choose the next lord ofღ Stromveil Castle after Godrick. Playersꦏ would have apparently been able to choose one of Gostoc, Kenneth Haight, or Nepheli Loux to take the𒀰 throne.
Those Hopping Rodents Are Actually Real
Thankfully we don't live in a world filled with walking nightmares like in The Lands Between. I'm not really sure what I'd do if birds had swords for feet or dogs were ten feet tall. Luckily, out of all the creatures it could have been, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:E🍌lden Ring’s rabbitgaroos are real.
They're modeled after Springhares, a type of rodent that lives in South and East Africa. Thankfully, they aren't all that dangerous in the game, nor in real life.
Dataminer Gets Unused Colosseum Working
Back in March, dataminers found an unused Colosseum in the game files. It was unclear what it was used for, probably some PvP or PvE functionality that could come to the game at a later date - possibly as DLC like with the first Dark Souls’ own or Dark Souls 3’s🐲 Ashes of Ariandel arena. It’s a Roman-style Colosseum with rows for seating and weapons strewn a🐼ll over the place.
However, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:someone has now got it working, giving us a look at a Maliketh-like beast fighting a massive axe-wielding gladiator. It seems that it was supposed to be used as a sort of PvP arena as there's even a section of the map’s game files tagged as “reception area.” Hopefully we’ll see it made functional as part of some DLC.
