The writer behind the Game of Thrones franchise, George R.R. Martin, recently noted that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring’s demigods are not in fact named after him. This comes in the wake of a longstanding rumor to the effect thatꦑ a connecti🐭on between the author and the characters must exist because all of their names begin with G, R, or M. These of course happen to be his initials.
Martin mentioned that while he can see the logic behind the rumor, he pointed out in a that players are likely just overreacting to what is in fact little more than a coincidence. “Oh, and as long as I am setting stuff straight, there’s a weird story all over the internet about how I ‘hid’ my initials in Elden Ring because… ah… some of the characters have names𝐆 beginning with R or G or M. To which I say ‘eh? What? Really?’ This was news to me,” Martin w💖rote.
The author said tꦕhat no real connection exists between him and the characters. “I have been writing and publishing stories since 1971,” he remarked. “I suspect that I have been giving ch🅘aracters names beginning with R and G and M since the start. Along with the other twenty-three letters of the alphabet as well.”
"Coming up with names is hard, especially since A Song of Ice & Fire uses so many of them,” the writer explained. “I am fond of giving family members and close kin names that have something in common… but really, why would I have to hide my name inside the game? My name is right there on the game as one of the creators.” Martin went on to say that ﷽“hey, Elden Ring is exciting enough, no need to make up stuff.”
Martin worked on Elden Ring as a worldbuilding consultant with its developer, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:FromSoftware. What precisely the author contributed to the game on the other hand has never been clear. Game Director at FromSoftware Hidetaka Miyazaki has been quoted as saying that Martin wrote the “overarching mythos for the game world itself." Martin has however always downplayed his role, claiming for example that “almost all the credit should go to Hidetaka Miyazaki and his astonishing team of game designers.” This of course leaves open the possibility that someone at💎 FromSoftware could have used his initials without him knowing.
Elden Ring has proven to be a breakout success, receiving rave reviews from critics and players alike. The game has currently sold more than 12 million copies. The release has however not been without controversy as reports from workers at FromSoftware have been coming to l𝐆ight which suggest poor pay and working conditions at the company.
