Staff Swing

Li🍎fting its staff to the side and swinging it quickly, this attac𒁃k deals high damage and has a quick follow-up.

Staff Smash

The Avatar wil🔯l lift its staff in the air, smashing it to the ground. This attack will end you quickly due to its AoE damage.

Counter: If on horseback, ride away quickly, if on foot𝔉 roll into the attackꦏ, twice.

Ground Explosion

Defying the laws of ꧃gravity, the boss w🍎ill leap into the air, smashing into the ground for big damage.

Counter: Get away. Really, get away.

Shooting Stars

A follow-up from the Erdtree Avatars' jump attack, it will summon around seven shooting stars that will shoot toward you.

Counter: Following its previous attack, you will be far from the boss, now, on Torre🅷nt, sprint either left or right, do not stop sprinting until the attack is over.

Strategies

Like many bosses in Elden Ring, the only surefire way to win these flights is with practice and timing. Luckily, the Erdtree Avatar only has a limited amount of moves for you to deal with. Ultimately, you will want to utilize Torrent, keeping your distance until its melee swings are completed and then hitting it with a drive-by. This will take a while, but with patience and timing, you will beat these enemies and get those Physick upgrades. Be mindful of the high damage and environmental obstacles, and your tarnished should be victoriou🅠s.

Melee Strategy

Start at a distance from the tree, on Torrent, ride toward the enemy in order to bait its staff swing. Following this animation, make a U-൩turn and get a couple of hits in on the Avatar while it recovers. As stated above, the moment it begins its jump animation, get out of there.

If you are committed to doing this fight on foot, stay behind the tree, rolling towarꦫd its attacks and running away during its AoEs. If you are 🍌having serious trouble, your spirit ashes are available to summon.

Ranged Strategy

Hit the creature from distance, making sure to be on your toes for wh𝓰en it utilizes its ranged attacks. If you want this fight to go really quickly, use summons to distract the Avatar, allowing you 🍃to get a huge number of hits in before it attacks you.
