Updated on May 20, 2024, by Lucas Ellinas: There are a lot of optional bosses in Elden Ring, ranging from weak foes that are basically pushovers, to enemies that can rival the strongest main bosses. With the DLC just around the corner, it’s a great time to go back and fight some bosses you might have skipped in earlier playthroughs. We’ve updated our list to help you determine which of these fights will really keep you on your toes.
14 Abductor Virgins ⛦
If you're having trouble with this boss, all Abductor Virgins a𝄹re exceptionally weak to Light🍸ning damage.
The Iron Maജiden-li🃏ke, pendulum-swinging Abductor Virgins are another example of pure nightmare fuel. Found in Volcano Manor, you actually have to let yourself be captured by an Abductor Virgin at the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:lowest level of Raya Lucaria Academy, where it'll send you close to the boss arena.
One boss is🌃 equipped with a whe𒁏eled blade, while the other has a pair of swinging sickles. The latter will throw its blades at you, but both will spin around like a deadly ballerina. Of course, this time, don't let yourself get captured.
13 🦩 Valiant Gargoyles
There are several Gargoyle variants you can encounter in Elden Ring, from relatively weak, early-game versions to the elite Black Blade Kindreds, each of 💝which can be more or🥀 less powerful depending on when you fight them.
However, fighting two of them at once is almost always going to be a challenge, which is what you’ll need to do near the Siofra Aqueduct. If they bo🍒th decide 👍to attack you at once, you’ll quickly get overwhelmed, and their Poison-causing breath attack only adds to the frustration.
12 ജ Death Rite Bird
Compared to their weaker cousins, the Deathbirds, Death Rite Birds deal more damage and cause Frostbite buildup, but also come with powerful AoE effects that range from massive Ghostflame explosions to calling down spectral spears from the sky. Particularly dangerous are the versions of this enemy that appear in the late🉐-game areas, like Castle Sol and the Apostate Derelict.
Th෴e one weakness these bosses have is that they are Undead, meaning several Holy-based weapons and spells are extra effective against them, and they have an innate weakness to Holy damage on top of that. Unfortunately, not every build has easy access to the damage type, which can make these fights exꦑtremely challenging.
11 Commander Niaꦦll
You𒁏 can use the Bewitching Branch consumable to tu🏅rn Niall's knights against him.
Although an 🐎optional boss, Commander Niall stands in the way of you getting a quest item, namely the left half of the Haligtree Medallion. Located in Castle Sol, Commander Niall first summons two spectral knight꧂s, which you better deal with first.

Elden Ring: 10 Bes🐲🍸t Two Fingers Incantations
💟Do you nee🌺d different types of damage negation? Then these incantations will give you a hand.
Commander Niall cre🦄ates whirlwinds that you must dodge since they eat a large portion of your HP. Not only can he deal Frostbite damage, but he can a♏lso summon lightning when he performs a stomp.
10 ♊ Fu🤪ll-Grown Fallingstar Beast
You can find regular Fallingstar Beasts in a🔥 couple locations, but the only Full-Grown version you fight appears in Mt. Gelmir. Compared to its nascent cousins, it comes with 🔯some extra attacks, including a massive gravity beam.
But perhaps an even bigger problem than higher stats and new attacks is the arena in which you fight the beast: atop a massive pillar. If you get knocked off, it’s certain death. On the plus side, if you manage to defea꧋t this boss, you’ll get valuable rewards: a Somber Smithing Stone 6, five regular Smithing Stone 6s, and the Fallingstar Beast Jaw.
9 𝓡 🌜 Margit The Fell Omen
Most people probably don’t think of as an optional boss, but you don’t꧂ technically need to fight him. Since you only need two Great Runes to get into Leynell Castle and progress the game, you can skip both Margit and Stormveil Castle entirely.
Alternatively, if you kill Morgott, the Omen King then head to Stormveil castle later, Ma🥂rgit will already be dead. However, Margit’s location means most players will try to fight him, and fight him early. At that point in the game, his raw speed and damage can crush even relatively experienced players.
8 Starscourge Raဣdahn
You know a boss fight is difficult when you can summon numerous allies to fight with and for you. As soon as you enter the ring, there are summoning signs dotted all over the place - it's highly recommended to summon all of them.
shoots magical arrows at you the second you enter and has a wide area of attack and mobility (his poor horse, though). He can coat his dual blades with lightning, bringing it down to deal insane damage. After you get his health down to a certain amount, he'll jump up into the ൲air and disappear before bearing down at you like a comet.
7 Dragonlord 📖Placidusax 🍒
Located in Crumbling Farum Azula🎉, you have to lie down in a coffin to access this boss. After an epic cutscene where the boss arena is literally being remade, you sit up to find yourself face-to-face with Dragonlord Placidusax.

168澳洲幸运🎉5开奖网: Elden Ring: 10 ꦑBosses With The Highest HP
These bosses take a long while to take down due to their huge HP poolsꦰ.,
Their golden breaths of flame quickly turn into death beams, along with the ability to summon red lightning. Dragonlord Placidusax will disappear into ash in the middle of the fight before reappearing from the sky with a sweeping attack using his electrified claw. This battle is as epic as it is deadly.
6 Lichdragon Fortissax 🍰
Li🦄chdragon Fortissax is an optional boss but is necessary to defeat to complete Fia's questline. In Deeproot Depths, the 'Touch Fia' option will be available, wherein you'll be transported to the boss arena.
The annoying part is that whenever you get close to the boss, you can't stay too long under it, or you'll get electrocuted since its body is coated in lightning. The boss can even throw lightning spears which mete out extraordinary amou💜nts of damage. Patience is definitely a boon when dealing w𓃲ith this boss.
5 🌼🍌 Astel, Naturalborn Of The Void
The oddest and creepiest boss award in Elden Ring goes to . After traversing past the 168澳洲幸💫运5开奖网:easily missable area of the La𒊎ke of Rot, you hitch a ride on a coffin that'll take you closer to th♑e boꦇss area.
This twisted dragonfly-like creature shoots laser beams and slams its beaded tail onto the ground to hit you. What's more, it can summon portals that fling large boulders at you, as well as snap its sharp pincers to stab you. It can even flinꦦg you up in the air and throw you 🌸down hard and send meteor showers your way. Brutal.
