Mohg, Lord of Blood, is located at the end of his blood-decrepit dungeon, Mohgwyn Palace. While💫 getting ♉to Mohgwyn Palace isn't particularly challenging, navigating through it is pretty difficult, so be prepared before entering. We recommend being at least Level 100-110 before attempting to take this area and boss on. Though this is an optional encounter, the rewards are exceptional, making it worth going🍷 out of your way to꧙ tackle.
Taking down the Demi-God Mohg, Lord of Blood will net you with a nice 420,000 Runes and the Remembrance of the Blood Lord, which is exchangeable for a unique incantation or weapon via Enia at the Roundtable Hold. Furthermore, Mohg will also drop his Great Rune, which is activated when taking it to the Divine Tower of East Altus.

Prerequisites
Before diving into this encounter, we strongly urge you to pick up two items beforehand: Purifying Crystal Tear and Mohg's Shackle.
The Purifying Crystal Tear will allow you to cleanse yourself of Mohg's Curse when Mohg kicks off his second phase, giving you the opportunity to keep him from recovering too much health and save yourself some extra Flasks, as you will need them for the second phase.
Mohg's Shackle allows you to temporarily stun Mohg twice during the first phase, allowing you to get in several uncontested hits each time. This is massive as it also allows you to essentially take him into his second phase without the need of having to use lots of healing items or precious consumables during the first phase.
Shadow Of The Erdtree
While Mohg is an optional boss for the base version of Elden Ring, he is a mandatory boss if you want to access the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. So, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:if you have yet to reach Mohgwyn Palac꧙e and defeat Mohg,🐭 you should get𝐆 on that before the expansion drops.
Mohg, Lord of Blood Attacks
Mohg, Lord of Blood has many hard-hitting attacks that can be hard to see coming or easy to misread in the heat of battle. In addition to his strong abilities, Mohg also has a gimmick where he places three curse rings around you, then immediately follows it up with a ritual that drains your blood and heals him in the process. Fun!
However, you can enter this encounter with a few gimmicks yourself, and we strongly urge you to do so. As detailed above, the Purifying Crystal Tear and Mohg's Shackle will help you tremendously in this encounter. You should absolutely take advantage of both of t🧔hem to help make this boss ba꧋ttle more manageable.
Mohg Phase One: Blood Claw
One of Mohg's most used attacks is his Blood Claw, where he slashes the air, leaving a glowing trail of blood and flame behind. If this attack lands, a small explosion will follow shortly after, dealing excessive damage.
Counter: Time your dodge rolls will his strikes, and roll away from the strikes rather than into them. Additionally, if you see this attack coming and you're in no position to roll﷽, get away from the area until the attack is finished.
Mohg Phase One: Trident Rampage
From time to time, Mohg will perform a charging trident attack immediately after his Blood Claw attack. This will typically be telegraphed by him performing a backhand swipe and then launching directly into this attack.
Counter: Roll away from the backhanded Blood Claw and then into the trident charge to avoid all damage.
Mohg Phase One: Raining Blood
Throughout the fight, Mohg will take his left hand and open a rift above him that will start raining blood. He will either follow this attack up by throwing the blood at you from his sword or move on to another one of his moves.
Counter: When you see Mohg create a rift above himself, create distance and maintain it until the attack is over.
Mohg Phase One: Curse Mark (Start)
Mohg will chant Unus, Duo, or Tres while casting three circular curse marks around you in preparation for 🌺a ritual d🐻uring his second phase.
Counter: While you can drink the Flask of Wondrous Physick with the Purifying Crystal Tear at the start of the round, you can hold off on it until you see the first ring appear.
This way, you can benefit from whatever other Crystal Tear you have mixed in it for the second phase. Using the Purifying Crystal Tear is the only way to completely nullify any significant damage at the start of the second phase. Otherwise, you will have to consu꧙me several healing Flasks, which isn't good.
Mohg Phase Two: Curse Mark (Continued)
After getting his health down to roughly 60 percent, Mohg will cash in on the curse he placed on you in phase one and begin phase two with a ritual that sucks the blood out of you, replenishing his health. This attack deal♚s large chunks of dama𒀰ge in relatively short bursts, making it hard to deal with.
Counter: Either consume a Flask of Wondrous Physick with the Purifying Crystal Tear mixed in or use three healing Flasks to gain back the large chunk of health you lose. We strongly urge you to use the Purifying Crystal Tear here, as it completely tri🅰vialize✤s this move.
Mohg Phase Two: Pools of Blood
Mohg takes to the skies and splashes large amounts of blood at you and around the arena before quickly diving at you with a combination of swings that ends with a large explosion. Landing just one hit ꧑from this combo can spell bad news, so be on the lookout for it.
Counter: Roll into his dive bomb attack, then dodge into each subsequent attack to avoid damage. However, the explosion at the end is particularly tricky to deal with, and we recommend rolling away from that one if possible. Furthermore, running away from the attack when you see him take flight is also a solid strategy here.
Mohg Phase Two: Winged Strike
Mohg will sprout large black wings and fly high into the air before performing a plunging attack on you with his trident. This attack covers tremendous range and is pretty quick, so you best be on h𒊎igh alert anytime ꧒you see him take flight!
Counter: Roll into him as he approaches you to negate all damage.
Mohg will also sprinkle in attacks from his first phase during his second one but at a much faster rate, making the timing a bit harder to dodge. While they are all handled the same way, you will have to execute your evasion techniques at a much fas♒ter speed!
Battle Strategy
Mohg, Lord of Blood, has many tricks up his sleeve, making him one of Elden Ring's most formidable encounters. However, if you use the resources at your disposal and have a bit of patience, you will have this battle in the bag before you even k♑now it. Use the strategies below to gain the upper hand on Mohg!
Melee Strategy
During Mohg's first phase, you can use Mohg's Shackle twice, which will temporarily ensnare him and allow you to get several uncontested hits in without fear of him responding.
Use this to your advantage and only use it when he's on the ground and nearby. The first phase essentially has you evading wide-sweeping strikes. So keep dodging his Blood Claw, landing a few hits, then reset for the next round of attacks and repeat.
Mohg's second phase is where things start to heat up and will require a greater level of maneuverability on your end. While Mohg's Shackle won't work in this phase, the Flask of Wondrous Physick with the Purifying Crystal Tear will, and you should use it to negate his ritual.
This phase begins when you whittle his health down to around 60 percent. We strongly recommend consuming your Flask of Wondrous Physick during the first phase the moment you see the first ring from his curse appear around you, as it will 🍨last all the way from thereℱ through his ritual.
From there, get ready to roll and evade many attacks while only getting one or two hits in max. Be patient here and watch for his blood and fire attacks or attack combos. This is much faster-paced than the previous phase, so it might take some time to adjust to it.
Ranged Strategy
Phase one shouldn't be much of an issue for ranged users, so as long as you have Mohg's Shackle and the Rock Sling sorcery. Mohg is susceptible to Gravity Magic, meaning Rock Sling has the potential to stagger him and will naturally do greater damage🐻 than other spells in this situation.
If you keep a decent enough distance from Mohg, you really only have to look out for a few attacks during this phase and can bully him with the Shackle to get to the second phase much quicker.
Be sure to have the Flask of Wondrous Physick with the Purifying Crystal Tear consumed before he begins his ritual in the second phase to negate all damage, and switch to the Swarm of Flies incantation to deal quick and significant damage to Mohg.
This phase will be much tougher for ranged users, but if you keep your distance, your main concern should be his two aerial attacks that are heavy-hitting and hard to dodge. However, once you get his dive-in attacks down to a science, the rest of the phase won't be too bad. Just keep evading when he closes the gap, create space, and cast Swarm of Flies until you claim victoryꦆ!
