Elden Ring has just had a substantial patch that addresses several balance issues and adds a controversial feature: NPC map markers. This update also confirms our past suspicions that 168澳洲幸♏运5开奖🏅网:Arcane scaling was broken in some instances, but it fixes that too.First up, the most visible change, map markers. Now, once you've found and spoken to an NPC, their name and location will be displayed on your map. This is an immensely helpful feature that will make completing the numerous NPC side quests - many of which are needed to unlock various endings - much easier.RELATED: FromSoftware Employees Deserve Better After The Succes🍷s Of Elden RingNaturally, this decision has proved unpopular with some vocal Elden Ring fans who feel like the game's artistic vision𝓰 has been compromised. Others are taking a more measured and sensible approach, noting players were already using the in-game peaceable markers to keep track of NPCs, and this simply automates that process. A new NPC has also been added, with several getting new steps to their quests.

As well as that much-needed quality of life feature, this patch also nerfs the powerfu𓄧l Mimic Tear spirit summon, along with fan favourite weapon Sword of Night and Flame. The Mimic will now do less damage and have "changed behaviour," whatever that means, and the Sword's skill will now do less damage.

To balance these nerfs, more NPC summons h𝓰ave been added to some boss fights, meaning players should be able to call an ally in for help with some of the more troublesome foes. Shields are also more effective and all offensive pot items have had🦹 their damage increased, meaning crafting may be more necessary now.

On top of balance changes, several fixes have been implemented. Most noticeable will be the debugged Arcan♕e scaling on some weapons. The patch notes don't specify which, but we previously believed weapons with Arcane and any other form of scaling were broken, meaning no scaling at all was applied. This severely limited the potential for Arcane builds, so it's wonderful to see it fixed so quickly.
