Elden Ring: Shadow Of Th♍e Erdtree - How Tꦅo Access The Cathedral Of Manus Metyr
Manus... sounds very familiar?
But navigating this familiar landscape is not as easy as it sounds. Filled with crafty enemies and hidde♛n items, you'll get los✃t in all the intricacies of this spiraling ascent to the grand stage above. What awaits you at the top? To find out, you'll probably want to have this guide handy to prepare you properly.
How To Reach The Belurat, Tower Settlement Site Of Grace
After opening the main entrance doors to the tower settlement, you'll find a warm welcome from the giant scorpion at the top of the stairs.
More scorpions await you in the chamber after guarding the sitting on the central statue.
You can find a behind the statue.
Ascend the stairs to the left of the statue to avoid being accosted by the giant scorpion on the right.
Through the door at the top of the stairs, there are - congratulations - more stairs (this will be a theme). Once again, a giant scorpion will lie in wait on the right side, ready to ambush you.
Thankfully, a Site of Grace can already be found up the next set of stairs, as well as the area Summoning Pool.
To the left and through the giant doors ahead🍷 are areas you cannot yet reach.
There's nothing for you from where you came, so you can safely sit at this Site of Grace before continuing.
How To Reach The Small Private Altar Site of Grace
Up at the fountain plaza, there are only two enemies. One of them is hiding behind the waterfall on the left, guarding a .
After dispatching them, climb the stairs nearby and grab the on the right before preparing to turn around and continue along the main path.
There is a ladder to a sewer area below, but a key you do not have is required for this 🌃area, so there's not much to do here.
Going along the main path, you will encounter several enemies. The most notable to watch out for are two mages up on the bridge above.
Avoid their strikes by making S-patterns, detouring down the right path momentarily for some .
Inside the door at the end of the path, up the stairs, and to the left, you'll find a room with the Small Private Altar Site of Grace up top. Rest here.
How To Find Fire Knight Queelign
You can get some revenge by defeating the two mages on the bridge from earlier now. They're guarding the Storeroom.
You🔜 do not yet have the key for this area, but it will be important to 🌄note for later.
Instead, return to the ascending stairs and continue up until you find an area where a new type of enemy is p♎atrolling: the Horned Knight.
This particular Horned Knight is dual-wielding a set of scabbards. It's quick and aggressive, but y💛ou should be able to dispatch it with some well-timed dodges and strong attacks.
Venture to the right down a set of stairs and into the rubble.
There are several shades here, but the most important is a mage hiding behind the rubble to the right.
Continue onward to a set of descending stairs toward a dead tree. Before continuing, you'll want to prepare yourself.
An invader, the Fire Knight Queelign, will attack you once you've entered the area. His coming will be announced, so don't worry about him dropping in une𒉰xpectedly.
The only things you need to know about this meddlesome invader are:
- He wields a type of lance that deals Fire damage and prefers thrusting attacks.
- He can cast Fire incantations, dealing significant damage.
- Queelign possesses little poise and thus staggers easily.
- He appears to have very little health.
Your reward for defeating him is the Crusader's Insignia, bolstering your attack power for each defeated enem♓y.
The can be looted 👍from a corp🎀se in the center of this arena area.
How To Open The Belurat, Tower Settlement Shortcut
Return to the ruins where you fought the shades and jump onto the broken rooftops above.
⛦There's nothing to the left, so jo🅠urney down the path to the right.
Be wary of the shade hiding behind a pillar on the left (before yo♓u reach the corner). Another shade is hiding in wait around the corner and to the left.
As you reach the running water ahead, stop and lure out the knight shade ahead. This will prevent the knight shade hiding to your left from surprising you.
There are several man-flies to your right through the bars. Certain weapons can destroy them through the bars by thrusting forward or jump-attacking. This can lower the amount of enemies in t𝓀he upcꦏoming area.
Continue down the watery path to the door on the right.
There are two shades in here, so dispatch them and then climb the nearby ladder. The Storeroom Key can be found at the top, on a corpse.
Through the door, climb the stairs and take a left. Ahead, there are two paths:
- The Shortcut
- The Treasure End
The shortcut is down the first set of stairs to the left via an elevator.
Take the elevator down and use the lever near the large 🅰doors ahead. Thisജ will open the shortcut to the ____ SIte of Grace.
The Treasure End will 𒁏lead you🌠 to a group of small scorpions around a doorway.
Inside the room ahead, a giant scorpion can be seen guarding a treasure. However, it distracts you from the threat of another (slightly less) giant scorpion on the wall up to your left.
Rather than fall for the trap:
- Strike the scorpion ahead with a ranged attack (via item, spell, or weapon).
- Lure it back toward the door you entered. It cannot fit past it nor shoot poison through it reliably.
- Attack the scorpion from afar until it dies.
- Enter the room again and step onto the stairs to the left.
- Attack the scorpion on the wall with a ranged attack.
- Wrap around on the ground to finish off the scorpion.
Once everything is dealt with, you can take the weapon the scorpions were guarding and return to the area near where you found the Storeroom Key (past the shortcut).
You can receive a Revered Spirit Ash, x5 Beast Bones, and the Dried Bouquet Talisman (raise attack power when your spirit summons dies) by making an immediate left as you exit this side area. You should spy a pile of rubble thไat you can jump on. Follow it to enter a secret room with these treasures inside.
Where To Find The Old Lady Of Belurat Tower Settlement
This is the most optimal time to travel to the Small Private Altar Site of Grace, rest, and enter the Storeroom.
The Storeroom can be found across the bridge where the shade mages stand.
After using the key you found inside the settlement, you can find the Old Lady sitting on a table near the back of the room.
There is nothing you can do with her now, but if you return to this location later wearing the reward helmet from the area's boss, you will receive a special incantation: Watchful Spirit.
When you are finished with this area, use the Storeroom Key to open the shortcut beside the Old Lady to the Small Priv🌠ate Altar Site of Grace as well as rediscover Hornsent Grandam.
Belurat Tower: How To Reach The Stagefront Site of Grace
Continuing on the main path from the shortcut, you'll find a set of stairs to your right leading to three and another enemy.
This path isn't intriguing at first, but there's a secret ledge at the middlepoint of the stairs that you♔ can fol💞low around the tiled rooftop corner to the edge.
From this edge, jump across to a secret passageway where you can find the Well Depths Key inside the end.
We'll hold onto that for now and return to the previous rooftops.
Be wary of the shade hiding a🌞round the corner inꦐside the secret room.
Challenge the Grave Birds on the rooftops. There are four in total.
For the best outcome, try using a ranged attack to lure out th🍒e birds and then step behind the railing on the main path to deflect any range attacks.
As you come off the rooftops, race ahead to strike the shade carrying the jar. It holds a and a .
Grabbing those items and the on the ground nearby, you'll face another strong Horned Warrior guarding the ascending route.
This enemy is much like the last but instead wields a greatsword.
This enemy has more range than you think it does. Never underestimate its ability to close the distance.🔯 If you're having trouble with this enem༺y, we suggest waiting for an opening after its long combos or punishing it with powerful ranged attacks.
At the top of the route, you can choose to take a detour to an area of little note if you take the right path. It is not generally recommended unless hunting for certain items.
This detour leads to a 🎐lower s🐈wampy area of plagued man-flies. There are a few items down in this area, but they are mostly relegated to:
The main path is to the left of the top of the tunnel where you fought the Horned Warrior.
Climb the stairs, defeating all enemies on the way, to a large tre൩e. Here there are:
- Two strong shade knights
- Two shade mages
- Weak Shades
- A Revered Spirit Ash
The next area is protecte💦d by a Stake of Marika for a⛎ reason.
Up the stairs is a Curseblade. You may have en⛦countered this fast, unpredictable enemy before in your adventures. If you haven't, you could be in a🌳 world of hurt.
The best strategy is to stay in melee, attempting to stagger this beast and remain on ♕the offensive.
If you defeat it, you could be rewarded with the Curseblade's Cirque and access to the Stagefront Site of Grace at the top of the stairs.
But before we go mar𒐪ching on the boss, it's time for a quick detour to wr🌄ap up the Belurat Tower Settlement.
The Well Depths Detour
With our newfound key, you'll need to:
- Return to the Belurat Tower Settlement Site of Grace.
- Go past the dirty fountain plaza.
- Take a right at the top of the stairs.
- Follow the path past some shades to a well with a ladder.
- Descend.
Down here, there is no shortage of poison, so we recommend bringing to negate the build-up and damage.
Use your Well Depths Key to open the door down here after grabbing the .
Ahead, you'll enter a new swamp area (thank you, Miyazaki, yet again). While there are sever𝓰al items to loot and a miniboss to find, our first order of business is a new shortcut.
Take an immediate right in the swamp, staying wary of any plagued man-flies lurking about. Your goal is the tall tower toward the back of this area.
Ascend the ladder of that tower to find a door to the Bel𓆉urat Tower Settle🌟ment Site of Grace, opening your shortcut.
Return to the swamp (yay!), and venture forward and slight right to a rubble-cꦑladden island where a lone Horned Warrior stands.
Defeating him and picking up the nearby items will reward you with x5 , a , and the .
📖Looking left, you'll spy a tall building sticking up from the poison swamp. A🌸n item sits on top of it.
However, attempting to reach that item will attract the attention of several swarming man-flies. Your only reward is x8 .
If you don't have a good sweeping attack or area spells, we recommend leaving the arrows behind and ignori𝕴ng this building entirely; it'♌s not worth the headache.
Instead, you'll probably want to look for the nearby church where you can pick up the weapon.
Continuing forward, you'll see two towers lying on their sides ahead. You'll want to go past these.
In the following area, there's a wide space where you'll have to fight the Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirit miniboss. Defeating it will reward you with an +2.
With the charm in hand, you can return to the Stagefront Site of Grace to finish the Belurat Tower Settlement.
The tree spirit is weak to Fire, should you find yourself struggling in this area. It is also a 🐠good area for 𒁃spirit summons.
Belurat Tower Settlement: How To Defeat The Divine Beast Dancing Lion
The Divine Beast Dancing Lion is a tricky boss primarily beca♏use of its effect on the camera and its strange movements that, compared to the telegraphed attacks🦄 of the base game, can prove challenging to avoid at first.
If you have spoken to her outside, you can summon Redmane Freyja to your aid.
We recommend summoning Freyja both for ease 𒈔of combat and for story-re🎐lated reasons.
The boss has three distinct phases depending on its remaining health:
- Normal Physical Damage - Starting Phase
- Single-Element Damage - 60~ percent
- Switching Elements - 30~ percent
The Dancing Lion will always begin its Single-Element phase with Lightning damage, calling lightnin🎃g down to the field and tossi🐼ng it about.
However, there are two other types of elemental damage it can deal:
- Frost
- Storm (Wind)
Each has its own moveset that should be carefully studied before it begins its final phase, swapping rapidly between these elements.
This beast can be affected by status conditions, but it appears to have an extremely large build-up meter that is difficult to fill.
If you are struggling with this creature, we suggest the following strategies:
- Use Redmane Freyja and either a Spirit Ash or a jolly cooperator.
- Prioritize dealing Fire damage; it appears to have a mild weakness to it.
- Try using heavier weapons to stance-break more often.
- Equip the (or greater).
It isn't an easy fi𒆙ght, and the music - while awesome - can be mildly distracti𓃲ng.
However, should you remain patient and demonstrate great skill, your reward will be the and .
Ahead, continue up the path until you receive the . It will inform you that there's nothing else to do in this area, so you'll have to find another way in.
For now, put the Belurat Tower Settlement behind you and focus on exploring what remains of the Gravesite Plain.
