Like in the base game, they let you leap up a height with Torrent, but as the name suggests, they're locked by rock towers which are hidden nearby. Once destroyed, the Spiritspring will be freed. However, fans have discovered a much quicker way to unlock them.

As it turns out, Margit's Shackle will immediately destroy the tower if used while standing in the Spiritspring. It's unclear if this is intentional or a bug, and if it works on all of them (such as the shortcut in Rauh Ruins) but it's one helluva time saver.
