Summary
- Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Update 1.14 has nerfed Consort Radahn at long last.
- Not only has it "Changed the action pattern when the battle starts", but he now deals reduced damage.
final boss, Consort Radahn, is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a pain in the Dung Eater to beat. You spend a few minutes making your pre-battle preparations, step into the fog wall, and summon your Spirit Ash (let's be real — your Mimic). In the split-second that takes, he launches at you like a missile, leaving you with a scrap of health if you're lucky.
But nearly three months later, FromSoftware has finally made it easier to take on the DLC's final boss (thanks, ). The newly released Update 1.14 "Changed the action pattern when the battle starts", so stepping through the fog wall won't be like offering yourself up to Miquella's sacrificial alter anymore.

Radahn also deals less damage (and less stamina damage), with reduced range on "some non-weapon-based attacks". And if you were struggling to read his patterns, the visibility on some attack effects has also been increased. All around, Radahn should be easier, but it's still Radahn, so it won't be a walk in the Leyndell park.

Usually with big sweeping nerfs that make the game easier, a vocal subgroup of elitist fans rise up in arms to decry that it goes against everything the game stands for. I loved fighting Radahn — while playing for my review (which you can read here), I spent hours gritting my teeth, refusing to submit as he two-shot me𒁏 with huge, sweeping attacks, often forcing me to use a flask the second I entered the fog 💫wall.
It was a steep difficulty curve, one that was unbelievably rewarding to overcome. But these changes don't make Radahn easy or take away from that whatsoever, they just make the fight a bit fairer, and that's why fans are celebrating right now.
So, if you got stuck at the end of Shadow of the Erdtree back in June, now's the time to jump in again and give the final boss one last try. Maybe you'll tie the knot on Elden Ring once and for all.
