Your time in The Lands Between seems to wrap up nicely, but 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring leaves several unanswered questions after you become Elden Lord (or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:burn the world down). Key characters and their motivation𒈔s appear and v🐻anish without explanation. The mechanisms that make the world work remain shrouded in mystery, tempting gods and mortals alike with their promises of power, and even the events that led you back to The Lands Between never quite get fully explained.

Some of these questions are what you’d expect of FromSoftware and its traditionally hands-off approach to storyജtelling, but others may be indicative ಞof more stories yet to be told in Elden Ring’s world.

10 ဣ 🎃 Who Is Melina?

Melina greets the player and offers to guide them on the path to becoming Elden Lord

Melina is one🐲 of Elden Ring’s most important characters, yet despite her significance and sacrifice, there’s hardly any information about her. She wields the weapons of Ranni’s Black-Knife assassins and brings Marika’s words back to꧑ life in key places.

Yet she seemingly doesn’t oppose the Golden Order, or at least not the basic governing structure the Greater Will upholds, and says her mother gave her this mission. Fan speculation has 💎yet to reach consensus. Some say Melina is Ranni’s sister or Ranni herself, while others think she may be just another Numen assassin from Marika’s past.

9 What Happened To Marika? ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ

Marika's fractured body houses the Elden Ring's power

Enia the Finger Read🎃er says the Greater Will imprisoned Marika in the Erdtree after she shattered the Elden Ring, which explains why she’s literally shackled to the Ring when you finally reach the end of the game. What it doesn’t🐬 explain is what happens next.

When you repair the Elden Ring, the Fractured Mariꦡka remains, well… fractured. You replace her head, but is there even a person left inside? Or is she just an empty vessel for the Elden Ring and your victory was the Greater Will’s final triumph against her?

8 Why Summon Fia And The 💖Du𓆉ng Eater?

Fia receives the call of Grace in Elden Ring

The Greater Will and Marika summoned the Tarnished back to The Lands Between so they could vie to become Elden Lord. That&rsquo✃;s all well and good, but among the more exalted Tarnished, such as Horah Loux and Gideon, are Fia and the Loathsome Dung Eater.

The Dung Eater is imprisoned under the capital for his cursed crimes, condemned to eternal torment, and D says in R🔥oundtable Hold that Fia’s very existenꦕce counts as blasphemy against the Golden Order. So why ask them to come back?

7 What Was Volcano Manor&🌠rsquo;s Goal?

Tanith and her knight sit in Volcano Manor's court

Tanith’s recruitment speech in Volcano Manor includes mention of r🍌ebelling against theജ Erdtree, but she conveniently leaves out how your actions count as rebellion and what happens next. Murdering Tarnished hardly counts as active rebellion, especially when one of them – Old Knight Istvhan – is literally an old man.

Rykard’s goal, or the goal of the serpent devouring him, is eventually consuming the gods, which still leaves the lingering question of “what next.” But perhaps there is no answer. Perhaps the serpent consumed any lingering vestiges of a plan, l🅘eaving only madness and a desire for chaos in its wake.

6 🐭 What Role Do The Outer Gods Play?

Mohg, Lord of Blood confronts the Tarnished after making a pact with the Formless Mother in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring has several Outer Gods, beings of great power who can shape the world to thei✤r will with the help of Empyreans such as Marika and her children. Mohg formed a pact with the Formless Mother, some believe Malenia’s rot came from an Outer God, and the moon that governs Ranni’s fate is another outside influen💧ce.

It’s not unlike FromSoft to add tantalizing bits of lore and just leave them. However, combined with Miquella’s curious absence from the game’s action and the existing interference of at least two Outer Gods already, it leaves one toꦜ wonder if this is really the last of The Lands Between and its s🌟tory.

5 Why D🍨o The Evergaols Exist? 🌌

The Crucible Knight Evergaol boss confronts the player in Elden Ring

The Evergaols house some of Elden Ring’s mini-bosses, enemies such as Darriwil thඣe Bloodhound Knight. Some were apparently on the wrong side during The Shattering, as Blaidd accuses Darriwil of being a traitor. The situation for others is less clear.

Godefroy the Grafted, yet another variation on Godfrey and Godrick, is trapped in one of Altﷺus Plateau’s gaols, while others house powerful mages and heroes of legend. It seems unlikely everyone in the Evergaols was a traitor, especially given the lack of a concrete government system in The Lands Between, so why were they punished, and who condemned them?

4 🐈 Who Are The Numen? ꧋

Numen assassins murder Godwyn in Elden Ring

Marika is an Empyrean, a race of semi-divine beings possessing great power. However, she’s also a Numen – as are the assassins Ranni employed to kill members of Marika’s family. If you&r🦋squo;re wondering what a Numen is, there’s good reason for that: Elden Ring only says the Numen are a race of women warriors.

They apparently lived in The Lands Between at some point, since you can find Numen Runes that grant a substantial amount of Runes when u꧑sed, but who they are and why they seemingly disappeared remains a mystery.

3 🦋 Why Are Omens Cursed?

Morgott the Omen King challenges the player before the Elden Throne

Marika and Godfrey had several children together💦 before Godfrey was inexplicably banished from The Lands Between. Two of them were cursed, however: Morgott and Mohg. They were born as Omens, a shunned race often killed at birth – unless their pa🔜rents are noble.

Mogh created his kingdom underground and made a pact w♛ith the Formless Mother, an Outer God, while Morgott prowls the lands and guards Leyndell, despite his parents obeying the Golden Order and making him live as a cursed being. Why are they cursed, and is it just💙 an arbitrary distinction to give the Golden Order more control over society?

2 Who Was Renna? ℱ 🥃

Ranni greets the player and calls herself Renna

Eldeꦏn Ring technically answers the basic question, but leaves so much more to the imagination. The Snow Witch armor set says Renna was a heretical sorceress practicing forbidden magic in tꦅhe woods who taught Ranni everything she knew.

Ranni modeled the doll her soul lives in after Renna, and Renna had her own tower at Caria Manor. Perhaps the sn♉ow witch was responsible for helping Ranni on her own path, setting her against the Fingers and the Greater Will and reshaping the world.

1 𓆉What’s Up With Miquella?

Miquella's hand reaching out of a cocoon on an alter in Moghwyn Palace

Miquella plays a pivotal role in certain aspects of Elden Ring’s lore, yet the only way he shows up is as a piece of concept art and a ghastly hand sticking out of a shattered cocoon. Miquella created the Haligtree as an alternative to his mother’s Erdtree, forsaking the Golden Order after it could find no way to cure Malenia’s scarlet rot. Malenia awaited Miquella’s rebirth from the Haligtree, but Mog🎀h ripped him from the tree’s womb and intended to start a new dynasty as his conso💛rt.

That’s where Miquella’s tale abruptly ends, making him the only demigod and child of Marika to play no role in the game beyond some of its more hidden backstory. Some speculate he will be the focus of Elden Ring DLC, perhaps taking the player back in time to before The✅ Shattering or being in some way connected to the mysteriously empty place in the center of the map.
