Turns out, it was a trap. Well, not so much a trap because there was a cryptic warning hiding in plain sight all along. Fia is what's known as a deathbed companion. Can you see where this is going? She asks to hold you for a moment, comments on how warm you are, and everything seems lovely. You even get a consumable item that will increase y⛎our p𓄧oise, making it harder to stagger you.

However, this comes at the cost of a debuff that reduces your total HP by five percent. Don't worry if you've already spent hours getting hugged by Fia, as the debuff isn't permanent. To remove it, simply use the item she gives you, Baldachin's Blessing.

Very sneaky Fia, telling us exactly what you were going to do but in a weird way so none of us would notice until it was too late. It's going to be hard to trust another NPC, but we have to if we're ever going to get through their quests.
