The age old debate of whether the classic is the best game in the franchise or the newer is better probably wont be resolved until comes along to shake things up. Which game you prefer largely seems to boil down to which one has the most nostalgia for you and what qualities you conౠsider most important to making a great game.
If you’re still on the fence about which game is better than here are some arguments as to why the best game could be Morrowind and why it could be Skyrim.
10 ꧒ 🅰 Morrowind: The World
Morrowind’s world is very different from Skyrim or any other entry in the series really. One minute you could be dodging Nix Hounds in a marsh, conversing with powerful wizards inside of tall mushroom ho🦹uses the next, or cutting down an Ash Vampire atဣ the base of a smoldering volcano.
This world had variet🌠y and grandeur that made you feel like you were exploring entirely different lands 🍸with each area. The terrain was unique, the architecture was varied, and it’s something that the series hasn’t really be able to replicate or surpass ever since.
9 ﷽ Skyrim: Dungeons 🎉
When it comes to clearing out a dungeon, Skyrim by far has the best dungeons to explore. Each cave, mine, and other area was a uꦡnique location that bore very little if any similarity to other du༒ngeons in the game.
They ♎were also packed with little details and aesthetics that weren’t present in the previous games of the series. Each dungeon could have its own story and give greater insight into the lore making it worth exploring every one you came across, even if you didn’t need the levels or loot.
8 Morrowind: Transportat🏅ion
There were a variety of ways you could move around in Morrowind even if you couldn’t ride a horse. Apart from the sta༒ndard walking or water walking you had the option to teleport to certain locations via spells. There we𝔍re the generic destinations like Tribunal temples or Imperial Cult chapels, but you could also set your own waypoint to teleport back to.
The🍨re was also the levitation𝓰 spell that allowed you unlimited access to the sky. Admittedly it made the game easier but being able to levitate to the tops of mountains, over walls, or simply to view the world from the air was an incredible feature that has been sorely missing ever since.
7 ღ Skyrim: Combat
Combat in Skyrim felt much more fluid and refined when compared to other games in the series. Whether you were able to strike 🙈an enemy had more to do with your accuracy and skill as a gamer rather than some statistic based mechanic runni✤ng in the background. Fighting from afar with a bow and stealth combat had more weight than previous games ever did.
It also felt amazing to have dual wielding whether it was🦩 a weapon in each hand, a weapon and a prepared spell, or two different spells. It gave an interesting variety to comb𓆉at and made for some unique strategies.
6 ꦜ Morrowind: Independence
Prior to your arrival on the cont♉inent of Morrowind things are relatively peaceful, it isn’t until you start to embrace the mantle of the Nerevarine that war, political strife, and chaos truly begins.
As a result you are largely free to do what you want with those distractions still fitting in with the story. Want to go explore dungeons for a few months? Go for it, it’s part of you becoming the Nerevarine. You could take a break from questing to become a vampire and live in the Dwemer ruins without feeling like you were putting off something critica🀅l in the story. It’s all part of you learning the skills necessary to unite the Houses and become the hero reborn.
5 ღ ඣ Skyrim: DLCs
The DLCs for Skyrim were a thing of beauty that introduced great mechanics and some very interesting story lines to explore. Hearthfire enabled players to build their own house for the first time in the series and Dragonborn had the player t🎃raveling to the familiar island of Solstheim to take down the original Dragonborn.
But Dawnguard easily takes the cake by flushing out vampiric gameplay and giving the player the option to become a werewolf. The storyline was fascinating enough that players immediately felt compelled to boot up an old save or create a new character to experience the other side of the conflict. It could be argued this is one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best DLCs in the series.
4 Morrowind: Factions/Guilds ✨
Morrowind easily has the most guilds and factions you can join out of any game in the series. Each one had a unique culture that made it feel relevant and allowed you to explore the world of Morrowind in unique ways, such as a pilgrim for the Tribunal Temple or a grun🎉t for the Imperial Legion.
It also restricted players to side with certain factions in ways that made sense from a lore perspective. Joining the Thieves Guild put you at odds🉐 with the Fighter’s Guild, being a Berne vampire made it impossible to progress in the Tribunal Temple, the Mages Guild didn’t get along with House Telvanni, and you had to pick one of the three houses. And the Morag Tong is still one of the most interesting guilds in the series.
3 ꧂ Skyrim: No Classes ꦓ
Skyrim did away with the class system that restricted players to using a certain set of skills in order to advance their character level and impro🍸ve their stats. In the others if you picked a class that used bows and ended up hating bows you were forced to use them anyway in order to level up your character.
Now you could adopt or abandon skills at your whim and choose the relev𓂃ant perks to benefit your evolving playstyle rather than tryin🌠g to fit within a particular box.
2 🅰 🐻 Morrowind: Main Story
The main story in this game was incredible, you start out as a nobody who must claw their way up to becoming someone of importance and power. The Blades singled🍸 you out for the task but there was no hand holding, you e🎃ither sank or swam.
Becoming the Nerevarine required improving your skills, finding or crafting strong gear, and rising to the top of various factions through politics, quests, or duels. You weren’t just handed immense power and you weren’t born thꦑe future hero, you became one through your own efforts.
1 𒊎 Skyrim: Dragons
Though dragons were a controversial inclusion in the franchise there’s no denying how fun it is to hunt these magnificent beasts. Bringing down your first dragon and absorbing its powers was an incredible moment that felt much more empowering than anything befor༺e it.
It was also amazing how much these winged creatures affected the world around you. Town’s 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:economies would struggle if they were attacked and bandits ambushing you on the road would immediately side with you temporarily to bring down the greater threat. These creatures were a fun and powerful💜 force to be reckoned with.
