At the turn of the century, online gaming was barely a blip on the radar, and the games that did exist were intended for a niche audience. Today, massively multiplayer online games (MMORPGs) are dominating the market, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Elder Scrolls Online, of💎ten known simply as ESO, is one of the undisputed🍃 heavyweights.

Part of the advantage ESO has over other games is the setting. The realm of Nirn and the lands of Tamriel are a universe that was also featured in the Bethesda games of previous years, with Skyrim being a consistent favorite and others, like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Morrowind, gettin𓃲gﷺ some extra attention for the sake of nostalgia.

There's an impressive array of quests in The Elder Scrolls Online. The world is vast, and depending on what race you start with or what DLC content you have, there's no telling where you'll decide to go first. The following are a few of the best quests that most players encounter as part of the main story or as a stand-alone adventure.

Best Beginner Quests (Levels 1 to 20)

Divine Blessings

  • Location: Vvardenfell, Morrowind
  • Level: Three
  • Objective: Retrieve the Archenon's Signet and use it to restore Vivec.

For those players who aren't yet familiar with the world of the Elder Scrolls, either in regards to the lore or from a technical point of view, this is a nice introduction to some important history and gameplay in general. Divine Blessings is actually the final step in a long chain that's part of the Main Story chain 𝐆that leads through Vvardenfell.

If you played the game Morrowind, the quests will be a charming trip down memory lane. T𓂃here tends to be more investigation and politics as opposed to actual fighting and adventuring, which may put some experienced players off, but it is one of th🍰e earliest quest chains and is partly meant as a tutorial.

The Tempest Unleashed

  • Location: Elsweyr, Khenarthi's Roost
  • Level: Five
  • Objective: Help to resist the Maormer attack on Cat's Eye Quay by saving civilians, stopping secretive and creepy rituals, and killing bad guys known as the Sea Vipers.

Even for an earlier quest, The Tempest Unleashed has a lot of everything. You've got the usual political angle that is unavoidable with most ESO quests, and there's also magic, adventure, a mini-dungeon of sorts, and plenty of generally heroic stuff to do and experience.

This is part of a quest chain that leads the player through part of the Aldmeri Dominion story chain and is preceded by a quest that's mostly diplomatic in nature. Upon completion, the following quest, To Auridon, is actually the completion of the storyline and takes the player to a whole new location.

Lineage of Tooth and Claw

via: elderscrolls.wikia.com
  • Location: Glenumbra, High Rock
  • Level: 9-20
  • Objective: Capture a werewolf to use in a ritual.

The basic concept, to capture a live werewolf, is pretty exciting already. The lore and storyline are also a compelli🔯ng drama about some old family secrets and of course, in the spirit of the Elder Scrolls franchise, a sordid occult ritual involving cursed blood.

The player also gets a title upon compl⛎eting this quest, Werewolf Slayer, along with a reward that includes a nice handful of coins. The quest is part of a chain that continues the legend of the werewolf Faolchu, so you can keep exploring the dark, Celtic-mythology-inspired forests of High Rock.

Best Intermediate Quests (Levels 20 to 40)

Vaerminas Gambit

  • Location: High Rock, Stormhaven
  • Level: 21
  • Objective: Defeat the Daedric prince Vaermina and free King Emeric.

When a quest involves 💧faciꩵng down a Deadric prince personally, you know stuff just goꦉt real. In the course of this quest chain, the player has to confront and defeat Vaermina, one of the more malevolent of the Daedric princes.

In the previous quest, you discovered that her consort, an entity known as the Night Terror, has captured King Emeric's mind, which is something a Daedric prince known as the Queen of Nightmares would do. Defeat her consort, end her nefarious plan, and become a hero.

If you're into lore legend and history, this quest also takes you through part of the zone's unique storyline along with rewarding you with the High King's War Axe.

The Summer Site

ESO_Malabal_Tor_artwork, tomb by the riverside
  • Location: Malabar Tor, Valenwood.
  • Level: 33
  • Objective: Investigate the Falinesti Summer Site.

The whole c♍oncept of a settlement without a fixed location is already mysterious and strange, and this is part of the q♊uestline that leads the player to discover the secrets of the Walking City. Apparently, the wooded city would make regular appearances in Tamriel in the past, rising from the verdant forest and disappearing.

After being gone for centuries, it has suddenly appeared again, with no clue as to its long absence or sudden re-emergence. The City takes its denizens with it, of course, but it also leaves some behind. There's not a whole lot of combat in this quest chain, so how much you like it is a matter of taste, but the investigation, discovery, and drama of the Walking City makes it a standout quest.

Unearthed

Skyrim Dawnguard Restoration Spell
  • Location: The Rift, Skyrim
  • Level: 38
  • Objective: Explore and investigate a tomb, find the relics, and find Vigrod so you can warn him

Not only is this a classic explore and fetch quest in a dank and dangerous tomb, you also get to be an archaeologist and discover the mysteries of an ancient site through the relics you have to find. There's also the modern political angle that involves a mine and a pesky group of rebels known as the Reachmen, and if you played Skyrim then you've had to deal with this lot before.

Another reason this quest is so great is that it takes us back to the land of the Nords, the setting of what could be Bethesda's best game in recent years.

Best Advanced Quests (Levels 40 and Up)

A Skyrim assassin perched on a log

The Rise of Sage Svari

  • Location: The Rift, Skyrim
  • Level: 40
  • Objective: Accompany Skald Svari as she travels throughout the Rift praying to the Fallowstone Shrines on her way to becoming the next Sage.

When you find an escort quest that's actually good, it's a memorable experience. There's not a lot of combat involved, other than some fairly light bodyguard-type fighting, but this quest is more about the journey than the destination.

Svari is actually an endearing character and you get to know her better as the two of your travel together. This is also a nice way to explore one of the more culturally renowned regions of Skyrim. The Rift is one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the mod🌠ern Nine Holds of modern Skyrim and one of the ancient Four Holds from an even o𒐪lder time.

The Harvest Heart

  • Location: Coldharbour, the Plane of Oblivion
  • Level: 49
  • Objective: Find and mark the lairs of the Harvest Heart Vampires.

Anything with Vampires is going to be a lot of good bloody fun. This one takes place in Molag Bal's twisted plane of Oblivion, Coldh💞arbour, making this quest even more chilling.

After defeating the vampires in their own sanctuaries and returning to either Vanus Galerion or Virgar the Red, depending on the path you choose, a ritual is performed to exorcise the vampires once and for all and the quest is completed. It's just as heroic as it sounds, and is a perfect equal mix of horror, fighting, intrigue, and occult aesthetic. This is also one of the many quests in Coldharbour that involves the famous mage, Vanus Galerion.

Vanus Unleashed

Molag Bal, Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, Elder Scrolls Online, ESO, TESO
  • Location: Coldharbour, the Plane of Oblivion
  • Level: 47
  • Objective: Enter the Black Forge and find Vanus Galerion.

Players who are magic users or interesteꦯd in the history of the Mages Guild will appreciate this more than other🌼s because it connects you to none other than Vanus Galerion. This character is well-known in the lore of Tamriel as the founder of the Mages Guild and as one of the most powerful magic-wielders in Nirn.

In this quest, Vanus thinks he can be a hero by shutting down the Great Shackle within the Black Forge himself, but you're not about to let him get all the glory. Luckily, he left a recording for you that revealed where he was going and that there was a small, obscure side door that you can sneak in if you want to follow him.
