Skyrim is a massive game that takes you through all the holds (an🐻d a few islands beyond) of the Tamrielic region first settled in by humans. With plenty of quests to explore beyond the main questline, you can easily sink hundreds of hours going through the fifth entry in The Elder Scrolls series.

Even with the mountain of content available from DLCs and the base game, there are plenty more left behind the veil due to time constraints or developer choices. Among the many pieces of content lost are a number of cut quests that you can actuꦺally restore thanks to the magic of hard-working modders.

Make sure t🍷o double-check compatibili🌞ties and requirements when downloading mods so that you don’t corrupt your save or crash the game!

10 Roguꦓe Wizard

player's vision blurs as they get hit with ice spike from enemy mage, Dawnbreaker glows bloodied in the player's hand

.

Not all wizards are good, Harry! The dark side beckons to many a student of the College of Winterhold, and it doesn’t really help rehabilitate the school’s image. As such, Tolfdir wants you to🍷 “take care of” the rogue wizard causing havoc in a particular hold.

Without Cutting Room Floor, this quest is entirely removed from the game despite having fully voiced lines. It’s just an extra radiant quest that has you hunting down devious mages that give the College a bad rap, 𒁃but it’s a fun way to feel more active as a College member even after its bigger questline concludes.

9 🎶 Runil’s Dark Past

Runil walks toward the dragonborn by the Falkreath graveyard

.

Should you visit Falkreath, you will find the 🧸unassuming priest of Arkay, Runil. He tends to the graveyard and the Hall of the Dead. You get to learn a little bit more about him when you find his journal for him and meet some other characters connected to him (like Mathies or Morwen.)

One more quest that related to Runil and said more about the past he alludes to got cut in the final version of the game, though. With the Cutting Room Floor mod, the sto༒ryline is res🉐tored and you can go through the whole quest. That said, there are certain consequences to the ending that still aren’t implemented regardless of your choice. At least you get to learn about his past.

8 🌊 Expansive Civil War Battles

The expanded Civil War table with more flags pinned on the map, with options to engage as the Imperial faction

.

.

Even with the looming threat of dragons and countless horrors trying to take over the lands of Tamriel, its inhabitants are still entrenched in a civil war. The Civil War questline has you 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:choosiꦕng between the Stormcloaks or 🍎the Imperials, depending on which side resonates with you more. The original in𓃲tention of the devs was for the entire civil war to be more expansive in terms of battles and the impact it has on the world and other questlines.

This was ultimately dropped in the final release of the game, with the civil war being relegated to a few brief conquests and terms. Should you want to ꦯreinstate the bigger feel of the warring factions, you can install Open Civil War SSE or Civil War Overhaul - Redux. According to mod creator simtam, the former is better for healers, commanders, glass cannons, and stealth archers while the latter is more suited to warriors, tanks, damage dealers, and battle mages.

7 Rebuilding After The Civil Waౠr

A worker is in the process of repairing a broken but partially reconstructed home in Whiterun

.

After the Civil War is concluded and a victor has risen, you can pretty much go about the rest of the game with it feeling like all time has stoppeꩵd in regards to the huge and bloody war that plagued the region just moments ago. Camps cannot be attacked, structures can stay destroyed forever, and guards say the same old lines over and over.

Thanks to a selection of mods, the world will eventually r🧸ebuild and recover from damages. Guards will also react to current events depending on what point the war is in.

6 Ael🤡a&💙rsquo;s Pelts

The dragonborn stands in front of Aela as she requests for pelts by Jorrvaskr's dining area

.

There is much work to be done when you’re one of the Companions. A radiant quest originally int🦹ended for Aela to task you with hunting down animals and bringing their pelts back to her. The Aela Restored mod allows you to do this quest and choose ♏her as a shield sibling in the quest Proving Honor.

It’s a very minor addition but gives you more variety w🍬hen doing tasks for the Companions. Plus, the mod lets you🗹 tell Aela that you just couldn’t reach the Giant in time. You’ll know when that’s handy.

5 The Missing Apprenticꦺes 🔯

Rundi lies dead next to a staff by Rundi's Altar

.

This quest is actually still partially included in the base game, as you will see remnants of its stages, items, and key players littered across the world with no context or possible solution. Thankfully, the mod can restore it from its broken state and allow you to complete the whole mystery of the⛎ College of Winterhold’s apprentices that never made it back in time for the next class.

The Missing Apprentices is just one of a number of broken quests that you’ll 𒐪need a 🐲mod to complete, but it stands out among those as being easily missed due to its lack of prompts beyond a brief mention. Witꦑhout the mod, you would simply look at some elements of the quests as easter eggs.

4 ꦆ Research Th𝕴ief

Nirya looks at the dragonborn with her arms crossed in the Arcanium

.

Ah, more drama in the College. The base game already shows tension between Nirya and Faralda, though it’s mostly just c𝔍oming from Nirya. The cut quest Research Thief furthers their r🐽ivalry by having Nirya request that you steal Faralda’s research and give it to her.

You can either do as she asks or report the ill intent to Faralda. Whoever you side with 𝓰will b🌱ecome a marriage candidate and reward you.

3 𒊎 Joining The College Of Wint𝓰erhold

An atronach blocks the path to the College of Winterhold's courtyard, player companion dog sits in front of it

.

In💜itially, the Dragonborn would have had to meet certain requirem🥃ents before being allowed entry into the College of Winterhold. In the end, you can just get in by showing off a spell or pulling out the Dragonborn card. It’s a useful card that never declines, to be fair.

If you want to suffer through the possibility of tests and rejection as Bethesda or🎃iginally planned, there is a mod that restores the entrance requirements. Now, you actually have to be 🌸a mage of a particular skill to “enroll”. Of course, this mod still allows you to bypass the rules if you are persuasive enough.

2 🔜Boethiah’s Bidding

the Dragonborn aims their bow and arrow at a sleeping Elisif in her royal quarters

.

Skyrim does not fall short on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:creepy and dark quests, but it did ultimately make one a bit easier to stomach. In the vanilla version of the game, you can embark on Boethiah’s Calling. With the choice to murder a bunch of people or sacrificeꦆ your own follower, this quest alone is already quite grim. It ends with the defeat of the Champion of Boethꦓiah but originally led to an even deeper rabbit hole with the Daedric prince of deceit.

Should you restore Boethiah’s Bidding, you will be tasked with killing Jarl Elisꦐif. This is horrific in many ways, but such is the will of Boethiah if you want to do that. Just make sure you are prepared for the consequences it has on the civil war (especially if you have relevant mods affecting that.)

1 The Windhelm Arena ♒

the restored pit of the Windhelm Arena in the daytime, with various citizens standing by the elevated viewing decks

.

.

.

Windhelm is a dreary place to visit, but it was meant to be 💙even more steeped in violence by having an arena where the Pit Fighters of Windhelm would battle each other for Septims and glory. This was ultimately removed to make room for other storylines, and possibly to li𝐆ghten the load of the game.

If you simply want to restore the presence of the Pit in Windhelm, you can install the Windhelm Arena mod. If you want the full questline with factions, progression, and NPCs included, you can check out Faction - Pit Fighter. It also has a revamped patch that has some qual💛ity-of-life fixes.
