Elon Musk is back to focusing on Tesla and SpaceX after his high profile falling out with the Trump administration. A quic𒅌k scroll through his Twitter timeline shows it's once again filled with content about his companies and innovation, rather than government policy. However, Musk couldn't help but push his gamer persona🎉 again in a recent tweet.

Along with footage of a starship flight test, Musk wrote "No gods or kings, only men." Most of you will recognise that quote from BioShock, written on a banner wrapped around a bust of the game’s💛 villain Andrew Ryan, inspired by the works of Objecti🏅vist Ayn Rand.

The q🉐uote denotes that destiny is in the hands of the people, and not some higher power. Ho🐠wever, BioShock fans think Musk may have missed the point.

Would You Kindly… Not

Musk has been known to try and create a gamer persona around himself on multiple occasions. After trying to portray himself as a high level Path of Exile 2 player, it was found that the li🧔vestream was actually from a Chinese account and likely wasn't 🧜him at all. On another occasion, his estranged daughter Vivian Wilson revealed that she and her brother had to boost𝓰 his Overwatch 2 account.

So, when Musk quoted one of the most beloved games of all tim♒e, the community couldn't help but cringe. Over on the BioShock subreddit, suggested Musk must be a fan because he k﷽eeps quoting the game. However, the ensuing comments took the opportunity to make fun of him for doing so.

"Of courꦫse he took away the wrong message and probably thinks Andrew Ryan was the hero," s꧒aid one comment. "he prolly got someone to play it for him and let chatGPT fill him in on the small details," noted another. "@Grok make a video game reference in the caption for me," replied a third.

Clearly, people are on to Musk's plan to portraꦯy himself as a gamer, often without the knowledge or ability to back it up. If the quote itself wasn't enough, he doubled down on it the next day with an image of the aforementioned banner in the 💧game, asking if people got the reference.
