Water can't just be obtained anywhere though, but thankfully, we know just where you can get your hands on this liquid.

At the start of the game, your water reserves﷽ may be lacking, but here, you can learn where to get all the water you could possibly need. Water is a consumable, which means that after you drink it, the item will disappear. There are no reusable containers or levels to a bottle.

Can You Drink From Natural Water Sources?

If you've spent any time in Embervale, you may have noticed that there aren't any natural water sources. Unlike other games where you c﷽an seek out fresh water for a sip, this is not the case for Enshrouded.

Rather than drinking fresh water, you will instead need to find water bottles.

There are wells in Embervale called Elixir Wells, but these seem to have a lava-like resource within. Did the Shrou😼d 'consume' all other water? Maybe water became so valuable that humanity left no natura🥂l sources.

Where To Find Water

The first place that you can obtain water is from the well in Longkeep. Right after you leave the Cinder Vault and make it to the grassy clearing to set up your first base, you will find Longkeep. This abandoned fort area has a well found near the northern end.

Approach this well and press 'E' to scoop water from here; water bottles will then be placed in your inventory. From here, you can drink water to receive a few stat buffs.

Small wells like this are the best place to get water. They don't run out, so you can come back time and time again. We suggest keeping a Flame Altar near a well (such as the one in Longkeep) so you can easily come back and get more water.

Looting Water

Water can also be found in sacks and crates. In Longkeep, there are several lootable crates, as well as ones that seem to have white padding on them. Destroying them can yield a variety of resources, including water.

While exploring the world, you may also simply find water bottles lying around on tables and shelves. Feel free to steal as much water as you want!

What Are The Benefits Of Drinking Water?

When you drink ꦚwater, you will get the following stats.

• +1 Endurance (this increases your stamina)
• +2 Stamina Recharge

These effects last for ten minutes. Overall, water is a great consumable to use if you are planning to do a lot of running around or resource gathering. When the ten-minute buff is gone, simply take another drink!
