All 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best dungeon crawlers have big boss battles after you've scraped your way through endless rooms of baddies, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Enter The Gungeon is no different. Though you may find that these bosses are a little more in-depth than some of the other bullet-bait bad guys you've encountered before.
This list goes th🎀rough some of the biggest and best enemies you might not even have encountered yet, and how to find their lairs.
8 ꦡ ꦛ Gatling Gull
In the Keep of the Lead Lord on a player's very first run, Gatling Gull will always be the first boss they encounter. His lair has five possible layouts, including water pits, tables, chandeliers, and pillars, which make for an interes💞ting fight every time. The artwork depicting the Gull hulking out and eating a worm is so unique and is likely a reference to the Vulcan Raven fr𝄹om the Metal Gear game series.
If he really tickles your fancy, you'll be pleased to hear you can get him as a mini companion! The active item Ticket summons a tiny, buff Gatling Gull with his signature gatling꧂ ꦿgun ready to defend the player until he runs out of health.
7 Ammoconda
One of the three Gungeon Proper bosses is the Ammoconda, which makes this list because of the unpredictable nature of the fight, as well as the reference to an old favorite, Snake. Unlike most bosses in this game, Ammoconda doesn't chase the player around the arena, rather it moves randomly and fires out strings of bullets at right angles, echoing the movements of Snake.
This boss can also be boosted by eating its own turrets, which pop up randomly on the floor. This can make it a particularly frustrating boss as the turrets will shoot at the player and then heal the boss when interacted with, which increases its length. In theory, Ammoconda could gain turret segments indefinitely, filling the boss arena and leaving nowhere for the player to safely stand. Is this mechanic ringing any bells?
6 Mine Flayer 🔥
The name and art of this boss reference a race in Dungeons and Dragons, the Mind Flayers, or Illithids. A similar enemy can be encountered in Demon's Souls, which also share the name Mind Flayer and carry bells with them. The attacks of this boss are particularly interesting, such as shooting the terrified, sentient bell which bounces bullets off in all directions.
It can also use illusions (like the psychic powers of the Illithid race) to appear as a cute little bell with many decoy duplicates. Shooting the wrong bell will cause the rest to explode in a sho꧑wer of bull🌺ets. The Mine Flayer uses walking claymores as well, chucking them into the arena willy-nilly and hoping you bump into one.
5 Kill Pillars ♌ 𓂃
On the fourth floor of the Gungeon, in the Hollow, you may have the misfortune of meeting the four Kill Pillars. These statues seem to be haunted, and according to the Drunkard outside the Hall of Knowledge, they are being controlled by the Goddess of Bullets, Kaliber. The attacks dished out by four bosses are unforgiving, with a ring of jammed bullets encircling the group at the beginning of the fight. Each jammed bullet deals a full heart of damage, and it only gets worse from there.
Similar to the Trigger Twins which can be found in the first boss arena, once only one Kill Pillar is left things get intense. It will heal up to full hitpoints and attempt to crush the player for defeating its brethren. The idea of this boss is unlike most enemies found in dungeon crawlers, and with so many phases it will always keep the play🌳er on their toes.
4 Old King
Down in the Abbey of the True Gun an Old King can be found in his throne room amongst the forgotten splendors of old. His presence hints at the history of the Gungeon, and suggests he may have once been the Lead Lord, but has since been usurped and left in a locked-off secret floor. The artwork and backstory of the Old King make him a brilliant boss, and the variety of attacks ensure there's never a dull moment.
His attack patterns are similar to the Bullet King, a boss on the first floor, but a lot harsher and include some jammed bullets which deal a full heart of damage. He also has a chancellor just like the Bullet King who will chase the player if a stray bullet heads his way. If the player brings Casey into the fight and manages to get a hit off on the Old King's friend it can end the boss fight in one shot.
3 Resourceful Rat 💝
If you've ever left a room intending to come back for an active item or some ammo you don't need just yet, then returned to find a scribbled note instead, you've had the pleasure of meeting this boss already. Resourceful is one word for him. Despite the Gungeon constantly shifting and reforming the Rat has found a way to navigate easily, and even has his own lair safely tucked away. Once the player has formed the Bullet That Can Kill The Past, a key to the Rat's lair becomes available to buy.
This is one of those bosses that each player has a personal vendetta against, and so tracking him down and defeating him is very satisfying. Though the Dragun or the Bullet King may technically rule the Gungeon, the Resourceful Rat is the one pulling the strings. In order to even find him once you've gained access to his secret floor, the player must have all the notes to get through his maze. The fight is made up of three phases, all vastly different, culminating in a game called Punch Out! where the boss will 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:drop items an👍d some great guns 🃏to pick up. The Resourceful Rat is one of the most difficult bosses to gain access to, but once defeated you will never need fear his thievery again.
2 Lich
This boss is where Gungeon lore finally culminates. After speaking to many NPCs many times, paying attention to paintings (like on the secret Abbey of the True Gun floor) and references made, the player may deduce that the Lich (as with most Liches in fantasy universes) was once a human seeking power. The Lich was originally 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a play🐬able character known as the Gunslinger who had beaten the Gungeon and presided o⛎ver it until the Grea🦩t Bullet fell, granting the Gunslinger immortality as the Lich.
To reach this boss the player will have to have defeated the past of the four main characters, and then enter the Aimless Void again as any of these characters. The Lich's hand will then pull the player down into Bullet Hell, ready for the real challenge. Three phases of increasing difficulty will put you through your paces to prove yourself, and finally kill the Gunslinger's future with the Gun That Can Kill The Past. We don't blame you if this is getting confusing.
1 Blockner
Bringing us right back to where it all started, Ser Manuel the tutorial NPC obviously has a full backstory too. When being taken through the Hall of Knowledge and picking up the basics, the player will be given Blanks to practise with. If used on one of the rooms just before the big boss fight it will reveal Ser Manuel's secret, and unlock three new items tﷺo be found in the Gungeon. Upon beating the mini-boss he will explain that he is a fraud and has never actually completed the Gungeon, as he was betrayed before even getting to try. Ser Manuel will implore you to seek revenge on his behalf, and who can say no to such a cute little blue ghost?
From then on there is a chance to bump into his old comrade Blockner while traversing the Gungeon's Black Powder Mine. The fight is relatively simple for this floor, even with the two Gun Nut bodyguards, and from then on his ghost can be found in the Breach, trapped with the old friend he killed so long ago. This game is really deep for a dungeon crawler.
