Warner Bros. Doesn't Care What You Think Of The Minecraft Movie
There's not going to be any𝐆 Sonic-style tweaking this time.
If you were hoping for it to be Fortnite, then think again. That's because Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney threw some cold water at a ༒potential adaptation, casting doubt on whether the popular live-service game will ever hit the silver screen.
Take It From The Man Himself
In a reply to a post sharing word from Twitter influencer and mostly reliable source for movie news, DanielR🐼PK, Sweeney💟 unequivocally put any rumors to bed.
Sweeney was responding to a now-deleted post that suggested that a F꧂ortnite 🐠movie could be the next big adaptation, though some studios had passed on the opportunity to produce it.
"Yoꦯu just know Fortnite is next. There was already talk of a Fortnite movie, buꦓt some studios passed on it. That’s obviously gonna change now," DanielRPK wrote in his original post that was then aggregated.
Shortly after, DanielRPK wrote a separate reply to Sweeney, asking him to clarify whethe𒅌r Sony did or didn't pass on the opportunity to make a Fortnite movie. As of this writing, Sweeney has not responded dir🐭ectly to DanielRPK.
While Fortnite continues to be one of the most popular video games around, it's hard to envision a movie or television adaptation in the same way t🔴hat we're seeing with Fallout or Devil May Cry. Then again, no one thought Minecraft could be a major success like it's shaping up to be. For now, though, it seems like Fortnite won't test those waters.
