Announced last week during The Game Awards, Epic Games will be giving away 12 free games to cap off 2019. Available through the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Epic Games Store, t♉he🧸 giveaway will start on December 19 and conclude on January 1. Epic is being coy with which games will be free, though there's a possibility that some past titles will reemerge.
During those dates, Epic will also be running its "Winter Sale 2019" on the Epic Games Store. Since the dates actually occupy 14 days (instead of🌄 the 12 days of Christmas...), it's likely the giveaway will have a few o💜ff days to give people a chance to see their families on Christmas and New Years Eve. Still, it's an incredibly nice gesture and it's bound to blow up your Epic library with some good stuff.
One thing to note is that Epic has previously stated its free game giveaways would run . With no plans for 2020 or beyond, this year's final sale might cap off the games Epic is willing to hand out. Maybe the company will go out in style and offer up something like Control or Borderlands 3, though that seems unlikely. T🌃he better chance is that this will be the last hurrah and then Epic will quietly sideline the feature while it works on never adding a shopping cart.
If you can set aside all of the issues the actual Epic client has, the store does feature some quality titles. Control has been named "Game of the Year" by a few outlets and even The Walking Dead has found a home on the storefront. It's not necessarily enough to mak💯e up for how lackluster the store truly is, but there is some reason to engage with it this holiday.
We can only hope that Epic continues to improve the store in 2020. Valve is playing its hand by actually producing a Half-Life game for the first time in 13 years, so Epic has a lot of work to do. Fans have been dying for the return of Gordon Freeman and while Half-Life: Alyx won't feature him, the company has stated it will be returning to the series in full force. Fortnite's popularity can't last forever and Epic's store is not up to the 🔯task of hosting so many games.
