Gunsmith Part 2 Task Description in Escape from Tarkov

The second part of the gunsmith task line will require you to build a modified AKS-74U assault rifle. Thankfully, Mechanic gives you the gun once you accept the task from him.

You will re🧸ceive it in a message he sends you. What you need to do for this part of Gunsmith is the following:

  • Attach a Zenit B-11 handguard
  • Attach a 60-round mag
  • The gun must take up at most six slots
  • At least 58 ergonomics
  • At most 550 total recoil
  • 100 sighting range
  • Weigh 3.5 kg or less

While this might seem daunting at first glance, it is an easy modification job. The difficult th💟ing is obtaining one of the parts, the 60-round mag.

The AK-74 6L31 60-round mag can be crafted if you have Lavatory level 2 in the hideout, found in weapon bo𒊎xes in-game, or can be bought or🧸 bartered from Prapor.

A reliable place to find them is the ZB-014 extract on Woods. They have a chance of spawning near the stack of barrels behind the locked door, which you need the ZB-014 key to unlock.
