The Elder Scrolls Online went offline this morning for scheduled maintenance, but PS4 servers in North America and Europe are still down due to "severe hitching" issues. ESO players on PS4 are currently unable to jump into t༺he game, alt🎃hough both Xbox and PC servers appear to be problem-free.
Bethesda is aware of the issue and is currently working with Sony to ide꧑ntify the root cause. The team is working to get "everyone back in-game as quickly" as they can, although there's no indication as to a timeline for the fix.
Here's the latest update from the ESO team:
"We wanted to provide more information about the c꧃urrent issue surrounding PlayStation maintenance. This morning while we were testing the build,༒ we discovered some pretty severe hitching that was rendering the game unplayable that only impacts PlayStation builds."
The announcement continues: "We’ve been working with Sony to identify the root cause and get the issue resolved, and we want to get everyone back i🤪n-game as quickly as we can. We’ll let you know when we have an update on this. Thanks for your ongoing patience today."
