From Pဣat꧒hea Studio - the development team behind the RPG and simulation game, My Time at Portia - comes Ever Forward, an adventure platform puzzle game with breathtaking environments and a mꦺysterious narrative.
For fans of the surreal and mysterious, Pathea 🌳Studio has made an Ever Forward🐼 demo , and to celebrate, has launched a brand new﷽ demo gameplay trailer for fans to get a glimpse of before diving into the game’s world.
It’s hard to tell how much of Ever Forward is based in reality, and how much is imagination, as players take on the role of an apparition-esque young girl, Maya, within the dream-like world, which apparent෴ly, is a dangerous one to be outside in - at least accord🃏ing to her mother (not to mention the birds that fall dead from the sky at the very beginning of the trailer).
Gameplay lo⛄oks to feature stealth, platforming, and puzzle mechanics, all of which already looks pretty great, even in the game’s very early state. The dreamlike aesthetics, combined with the puzzles, give off a vibe similar to games like The Inner Friend and the Portal series.
The free-to-play demo will act as a prologue to the main game, giving players a taste of what’s to come. The beginning of Maya’s story will feature eight adventure puzzles, hopefully🐠 leaving players ready for more.
The theme of being required to stay inside from a governing authority hits pretty close to ℱhome, considering the current global shelter-in-place orders as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it’s clear that Maya has something important to do since she’s willing to risk life and limb in the puzzle-laden world.
No details have been released yet as to when the full game may be released, or whether it will be making its wꦦ﷽ay to platforms other than PC. At the very least, Ever Forward looks very intriguing and can likely be considered a must-🀅try for fans of the platforming and puzzle genres.
