Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty has said that earlier reports of Everwild being reboote🐟d 🅰were "a little extreme".

Earlier in the year, several gaming insiders claimed that Everwild didn't make an appearance at 𒐪Xbox's E3 presentation because it had been completely rebooted and started from scratch. Considering Rare's silence on the matter, many took this to be fact, someꦅthing which Booty has recently coꦯntested.

, , where he went into the state of Everwild and the rumours surrounding its development. He said, "What is Rare known for? They're known for creating new IP and creating worlds. I'll say when you look at ꦏit from the outside, when you hear words like 'reset' and maybe 'restructure,' those are probably a little more definite and a little more extreme than what really happens as a game comes to life."

He continued, "Every day you're making hundreds of small decisions and at the end of however long you work on the game, they all add up. I think that's where the Everwild team is right now. They're just trying to make sure that they've got something special. We've shown a glimpse of a world, you've seen the art style that the team has got. But we want to get it right, and I think any game that you went and were able to spend a behind-the-scenes year with... there are some days you're just terrified. What are they making? What is this? How is this ever gonna come tog꧑ether."

Although Booty seems to be going against the rumours earlier in the year that Everwild had been rebooted, he didn't go into any further detail on the state of the game currently, but it at least sounds like it's not been reset altogether. He ended the discussion by saying that Everwild will be shown when Rare has mo🦩re to show of it, and that it doesn't want "to keep things hidden for too long".
