However, at the end of each of it's five main worlds we are treated to expertly designed multi-phase boss encounters as well as another one to end the game.

These boss encounters are jam-packed with spectacle, and are arguably the highlight of each world featured in the game. In spite of this, they are not created equal. Some of these bosses are more fun and more challenging than others, so which are 𝔉the best and which will you not want to return to?

6 Falcon Mc𝓡Fly

World 5 - Feather Cluster

There is plenty of potential when it comes to a giant flying bird adversary, but it feels slightly under-utilised when fighting against Falcon McFly at the end of Astro Bot's fifth world. Being the last standard boss at the end of a world, you would think this boss would be more challenging, or more spectacular, but it unfortunately pales in comparison to the bosses that come before and after it, and even some of the mini-bosses.

That's not to say that this boss is bad, the game still creatively uses the samurai roll ability to defend against the bird's attacks and launch counter hits, but both of its phases feel quite repetitive and feature a lot of waiting.

5 Wako Tako

World 2 - Tentacle System

Similarly to the boss of the fifth world, Wako Tako, the tentacled boss of the second world is held back by what feels like an excessive amount of waiting. The octopus actually feels like a bit more of a challenge than Falcon McFly, but that might be less due to the design of this boss fight, and more to do with the slightly 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:clunky use of the frog gloves to counter his attacks.

At least Wako Tako has quite a high variety of different attacks he can throw at you, and because of this you'll need to spend a lot of the fight dodging, but because of how few and far between chances to fight back are, it feels like this boss drags a lot more than it needed to.

4 Mighty Chewy ﷽ ꦿ

World 1 - Gorilla Nebula

The first boss of the game is incredibly impactful when you reach it for the first time, but it's easy to forget details and for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the quaffed ape to end up feel a little overshadowe🍸d. Clearly inspired by King Kong, the gorilla will fling buildings at you, and launch aggressive attacks, but Astro will have the power of the bulldog dash to land powerful hits to fight back.

There is plenty of spectacle, and you'll be required to do some pretty challenging platforming amidst combat to dodge his attacks with creative use of the bulldog dash to ensure that you aren't snagged by any rogue hits. You likely won't need a second attempt, in spite of his aggressive demeanor, but it's still an enjoyable first boss.

3 ꦜ Space Bully Nebulax 🐭

Final Boss

The final boss of Astro Bot is hyped up throughout the entire game, with Nebulax showing up to mock our titular hero before he enters each of the space systems. When you finally reach his encounter, you're treated to plenty of fanfare, with a high octane flight leading up to his boss arena, but by the time you actually start to fight back it feels like the best part of the fight has already happened.

His roulette gimmick is a fun way to add variety, letting you use multiple power ups specifically designed to counter his onslaughts, but with this being his only real attack, it feels like the fight would've been more impactful if the space bully did more to actually combat Astro instead of just spinning a wheel.

It's still a satisfactory final boss, but in both challenge and creativity, it is unfortunately overshadowed by other bosses, as well as the race to get to the final boss itself.

2 Mecha Leon 🌠

World 4 - Camo Cosmos

A unique approach that Astro Bot takes with its boss design is the choice to heavily rely on a specific power up to counter the abilities of each of its bosses. This means that bosses paired with a more unique and creative power up are more likely to be a more refreshing challenge, and that is definite♔ly the case for Mecha Leon.

This giant chameleon req꧙uires use of the slo-mo watch to counter its speedy attacks as well as traverse the boss arena, and this is both fun🉐 and a worthy challenge. With a wide variety of attacks, the boss of the fourth world will likely pose a stiff threat and is an enjoyable choice to re-challenge.

1 ♏ Lady Venomara 💙

World 3 - Serpent Starway

While the chicken jum🧔p ability is one of the more standard power ups in Astro Bot, it is used effectively and satisfyingly by the game tha𓆏nks to its speedy execution and satisfying feel. One of the best examples of this is how it is used in the fight against Lady Venomara.

You'll need to perfectly time counter-attacks against the colossal snake to ensure survival, thanks to the wide range of her attacks, and the quickly shrinking size of the stage. She seems to have even more variety than some of the later bosses, ending with a final chase to get to her weak point with some of the most challenging and fast-paced platforming in the game.
