Pokemon: How To Evolve Eevee In Ev🌸ery Pokemon𒉰 Game
Eevee is one of the most popular Pokemon in the franchise's 🅺history. Here's how to evolve it into its various Eeveelutions in every mainline game.
However, not all Eeveelutions are created equal. Some naturally outperform others due to superior stats, move sets, or adaptability. While each one has something special to offer, we’re diving into their strengths and weaknesses to help rank which of Eevee's evolutions rise to the top of the competitive ladder.
Updated on September 11, 2024 by Aydan Sattler: Eevee evolutions hold a special place in the hearts of Pokemon fans across the world. While we haven't gotten any new Eeveelutions, we are still learning and obsessing over our favorite Pokemon, sharing photos, fun facts, and battle strategies.
8 Glaceon
Glaceon often stands out as one of the most adorable Eeveelutions, with its charming design and bunny-like ears. In terms of stats, it shines in several areas that make it a viable choice in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:mainline Pokemon storylines. With a solid Defense stat and an exceptional Special Attack, Glaceon can deal significant damage and take a fewꦏ hits when necessa﷽ry.
The Sinnoh Pokedex revealed that Glaceon, Leafeon, and Umbreon have i⛄dentical footprints.
So, what's not to love? Unfortunately, Glaceon's HP and Speed stats are pretty low; both have a base of 65, which really can't be spun - it's not a great number. Glaceon's high Defense is somewhat less impressive by proxy, and that fragility, paired with the fact that Ice is relatively fragile by default, means you really need the frosty fox to move first in battle if you intend to win.
7 Jolteon
Jolteon is the very definition of a glass cannon. With a slim HP pool and poor physical Defense, it can’t take much of a hit, and while its Special Defense is better, it’s still not quite enough to make up for its fragility. However, Jolteon's strengths lie in its impressive Special Attack and incredible Speed, which ensures that, more often than not, Jolteon 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:will get the first strike in battle.
The Japanese names of Jo♔lteon (サンダース) and Zapdos (サンダー) are almost identical, translating to Thunders a𓆏nd Thunder, respectively.
The downside? Jolteon suffers from a limited move pool, a recurring issue for many Eeveelutions. While Thunderbolt is the obvious go-to for STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus), its other coverage options are lacking. Jolteon excels at being lightning-fast, but its utility is somewhat hampered by its lack of versatile move options. It’s a one-trick pꦜony, albeit a very fast one.
6 Flareon
Before the major gameplay overhaul in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, moves were categorized as either physical or special based solely on their type. This meant that all Fire-𒆙type moves were special attꦏacks, which was a massive setback for Flareon. Despite its incredible Attack stat, Flareon was stuck with a move pool that leaned heavily on Special Attack, which wasn’t its strength.
Flareon is the only Eꦛeveelution with a type advantage over more than one other Eeveelution, specifically Leafeon and Glaceon.
But even so, its move pool remains puddle-deep; its low HP and Speed, combined with an abysmal Defense, make it incredibly fragile. While moves like Flare Blitz and🐻 Superpower can dish out significant damage, Flareon will often knock itself out in the process, leaving you with little more thꦯan a fiery blaze of glory.
5 Vaporeon
Vaporeon continues the trend of a few terrible stats potentially undermining the entire package, but still manages to make a splash thanks to some noteworthy strengths - Attack, Defense, and Speed are this Eeveelution's Achilles' heel.
Vaporeon is the only Water-type Pokemon that lives in the field region𒀰 o🉐f Pal Park, a Pokemon preserve in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
Vaporeon may have subpar Speed, but with a 130 HP stat and 110 Special Attack, it soon becomes apparent that this seaworthy buddy is indeed worthy of the title. The bulk keeps it going for a few rounds to hammer away at opponents 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:with the potentially burn-inflicting🐠 Scald, and if you can get off a Rain Dance to incre💫ase that power, even🔜 better.
4 Espeon
Espeon may not be as fast as Jolteon, but its Speed stat of 110 is still impressive and more than enough to capitalize on its massive 1ಞ30 Special Attack. This combination makes Espeon a powerful special attacker, especially with moves like Psychic or Shadow Ball in its arsenal. If you’re willing to take a turn to use Calm Mind, you can boost its Special Attack and Special Defense even further, setting Espeon up to sweep through opponents wit🍃h ease. A two-stage increase from Calm Mind can turn Espeon into a devastating force, making it a valuable asset in both single-player and competitive battles.

ꦗThe Most Powerful Pokemon Of Every Type, Ranked Ac෴cording To Strength
There are 18 Pokemon types, and we've ranked☂ the top contender for each one.
Espeon is a Sun Po💯kemon, a category it shares with Sunflora, Volcarona, and Solgaleo (in Ja𝕴pan).
The purple pal is best served by the Ability Magic Bounce, which will reflect certain status moves back at the opponent. Even so, Espeon still can't get over every hill - its weak defenses may be traditional among most Eeveelutions, but it's a downside nonetheless. Just be mindful to pack some powerful first moves, and you'll be good as gold!
3 Sylveon
Sylveon, the♐ adorable and ribbon-clad Fairy-type Eeveelution, may not boast the highest Attack or Defense stats, and its Speed is rather slow compared to🧸 some of its fellow Eeveelutions. However, what Sylveon lacks in speed and raw power, it more than makes up for in its utility, particularly in Double and Triple Battles.
Sylveon is th𝐆e only Eeveelution without pointed ears, which likely gives it a greater resemblance to rabbits. This design choice may be inspired by the myth of the Moon Rabb𓆉it.
Sylveon shines as a supportive powerhouse, with access to moves like Heal Bell, which cures status conditions for the entire team, and Hyper Voice, which can hit all opposing Pokémon with decent damage when paired with Sylveon’s Pixilate ability. This ability turns Hyper Voice into a Fairy-type move, further boosting its power and making Sylveon a formidable force on the battlefield. Its solid Special Defense also ensures it can stick around to support its teammates effectively, making Sylveon a valuable team player 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in multi-battle formats.
2 Leafeon
No one has ever called Leafeon "Beefeon," at least not to our knowledge, but it wouldn't be far off from the truth if they did. With a whopping 130 Defense, Leafeon can take physical hits far better than most, making it a sturdy presence on the battlefield. Its 110 Attack stat also makes it a strong physical attacker, and moves like Leaf Blade and X-Scissor let it deal significant damage to opponents while withstanding their physical assaults.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网: The 𓆉23 Best Pokemon Abilities, Ranked
Abilities alone can make a great Pokemon useless or ♔elevate one to a metagame mainstay. Here are the best abilities in the games.
Since Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver do not have a Moss Rock, the only way to get Leafeon in those games is by trading f🍒rom Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum.
Leafeon earns a spot on the list of top Eeveelutions as a reliable "wall-breaker." Its combination of high Defense and Attack makes it uniquely capable of enduring and dismantling bulky opponents. While its Speed is decent at 95, its strength really shines in longer battles where it can outlast and overpower foes. Leafeon might not havܫe the versatili♌ty of others, but in the right situation, it’s a formidable force.
1 Umbreon
No asterisks are involved here: Umbreon is an absolute tank of a Poke🍸mon. With 110 in Defense and 130 in Special Defense, it&🐽rsquo;s built to absorb damage from both physical and special attacks, making it an invaluable teammate in many battle scenarios. While its 65 Attack and Special Attack stats seem underwhelming, Umbreon shines when it’s used strategically.
Umbreon was originally intended to be a Poison-type Pokémon. Its 'poisonous sweat,' referenced in several Pokédex entries, is likely a nod to its initial design.
The key to unleashing Umbreon’s potential is Foul Play, which calculates damage based on the opponent’s Attack stat rather than Umbreon’s. This lets Umbreon hit surprisingly hard, despite its own low offensive stats. Combining this with stall tactics such as Wish for healing and Protect for stalling ensures Umbreon can endure drawn-out battles, frustrating opponents who can't break through its defenses.
