Mario has tried his hand at many different sports over the years, but his very first foray away from the world of platforming saw him picking up his clubs and making his way out onto the links. Since then, he's appeared in numerous other golf games, with the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario Golf series having gone on to become one of the biggest and most popular of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:those to fall under the𓆏 Mario Spoജrts banner.

One of the things that sets the series apart from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:other golf games is the emphasis that it places on fun, with players typically treated to a number of unique and enjoyable game types and courses. Most of the Mario Golf games tend to perform well with players and critics as a result, although there have been one or two over the years that have failed miserably t🅺o make par.

Platform:

Nintendo Entertainment System

Release Date:

September 29, 1991

Although Mario actually made his golfing debut back in 1987 in Mario Open Golf for the Famicom Disk System, it would not be until some four years later that the title finally made its way west. It was released for the NES in late '91 under the new title NES Open Golf Tournament, but ended up being a pretty underwhelming affair.

While the Japanese release featured six different courses, the western release had only three, with many of the more challenging holes🤡 being removed from t🌠he game. Western gamers did get a tournament mode which somewhat made up for this, but, all in all, the gameplay was incredibly basic and focused considerably more on golf than it did on fun.

Release Date:

June 25, 2021

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario Golf: Super Rush is the most recent Mario Golf game and is easily the series' best-looking entry. Unfortunately, that's about all that it has going for it. When compared to its predecessors, the game comes up short in a number of areas, most notably when it comes to its online and multiplayer game modes.

Nintendo games have often suffered from poor online connectivity, but 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Rush is arguably one of tܫhe worꩵst offenders. Joining a lobby with a friend is far more complicated than it needs to be, while the lack of fun multiplayer and co-op game types is a little baffling; particularly as this is an area where previous Mario Golf gam💖es had really excelled.

Release Date:

May 2, 2014

Mario Golf: World Tour isn't a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't quite live up to some of the series' earlier handheld releases. One area where it does perform strongly, however, is in its huge variety of courses; many of which were added into the game through paid DLC.

Not everybody was happy with the cost of the new content, nor were people too thrilled about four characters being locked behind a paywall. Even so, it definitely provided players with enough reason to keep playing the game, as too did the excellent Castle Club story mode and the huge amount of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unlockable content.

Release Date:

For 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a handheld title, the huge variety of game types in Mario Golf: Advanced Tour really is quite impressive. There are ten of them in total, as well as a solid, albeit unspectacular story mode. There are also plenty of unlockables and a decent amou༒nt of courses on which players can test their skillsꦍ.

Perhaps the only real negative about World Tour — other than those connected to the limitations of the system, that is — is that four key characters (Luigi, Bowser, Waluigi, and Wario) can only be unlocked by transferring them over from the titles' GameCube companion game. This wouldn't be so bad were it not for the fact that ten of the other fourteen playable characters are original creations rather than 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:preestablished Mario characters.

Release Date:

Those looking for an excellent Mario Golf game that still holds up well today could definitely do a lot worse than Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. Despite releasing nearly two whole decades before Super Rush, the two games aren't all that different visually, and the GameCube release packs in considerably more content than its successor.

Toadstool Tour features more courses, more playable characters, more hazards, and more terrain types, providing players with much more variety as they play through the game. While on the subject of variety, there are considerably more game types for players to enjoy too - either on their own or with friends - and𓂃 the putt animations are also far more enjoyable to watch.

Release Date:

Mobile gaming has come an awfully long way since 💃1𒁃68澳洲幸运5开奖网:the release of the Game Boy back in 1989, with most modern phones now far more powerful than even the home consoles of the eighties and nineties. Even so, at the time of its release for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Game Boy Color, Mario 🅠Go🌱lf was seen as an incredibly impressive achievement.

The game looked great for the time and offers what was then considered to be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:an authentic golfing experience. Some reviewers even considered it to be a be𝓡tter game than its N64 counterpart, which only goes to show how enjoyable it really was. It offered a surpr🌠ising amount of content too, with six full courses, eleven playable characters, and even customizable clubs.

Release Date:

July 26, 1999

Camelot's first attempt at a Mario Golf is arguably its very best, at least when it comes to innovation, anyway. Granted, later entries would further refine the formula and offer far better visuals, but when compared to Nintendo's earlier attempt at a Mario Golf game, Mario Golf on the N64 is streets ahead.

Where Nintendo had focussed on creating an authentic golf game, Camelot instead set about making a game that was built around fun. In that respect, the developers very much succeeded, with the game's varied game types and excellent multiplayer functionality making it incredibly enjoyable and one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best Mar💛i💧o Sports titles of all time.
