At first, it seemed like Generation VIII would emulate earlier games and have so few Legendary Pokémon that you can count them on one hand. But, with the announcement of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sword & Shield DLC expansions, fa🏅ns were t🐈reated to the announcement of

How do these Legendaries compare to the already-known ones in the Sword & Shield base game, though? That's the question that many have been examining of late. With less than two months until the first DLC pack i😼s released, let's💃 take a look at all the Legendaries and their forms, ranked.

9 Kubfu

Joining the Cosmog line as one of the only Legendary Pokémon with an , Kubfu is the small fighting bear with a branched evolution coming in the Isle of Armor DLC. This Pokémon will🍷 👍evolve into Urshifu's two different forms, depending on a few factors.

As for its design, Kubfu is okay. It's nothing special, but it's not terrible either. It's a Fi꧅ghting-type bear. This has been seen many times in different games, like with Pancham.

8 Calyrex

Some might say that Calyrex, the mascot Legendary for the Crown Tundra DLC, is one of the worst Pokémon designs they've seen. However, that alone speaks to how its ridic൩🌳ulous appearance is at least getting people talking.

Regardless of the controversial opinions surrounding this sock monkey deer with a hot air balloon head, one has to admit that it's a clever and unique𒆙 design. This Psychic/Gras🦩s-type is said to be a noble ruler from ancient Galar. Amazingly, it only weighs 17 lbs (7.7 kg).

7 🃏 Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles)

Zacian and Zamazenta, the two box Legendaries for the base games, each have two different forms. Their regular form is the "Hero of Many Battles" form and when they are holding a Rusted Sword or Rusted Shield, they beco💦me their Crowned forms.

Zamazenta's normal form is the most boring of all four, arguably. 𒆙It retains a bit of its shield motif, but the colors are jarring and it looks like it's heavy and exhausted.

6 🍬 Zacian (Crowned Sword)

Unlike Zamazenta, Zacian's Crowned Form is actually not as nice as its regular form. However, it's still a gre🍬at design with a lot go🀅ing for it. The downfall is in how the designers incorporated the sword into the Pokémon.

Zamazenta incorporates its shield motif well, making it a part of its body th🎃at's clear, if not a bit strange (yet still fun). For Zacian, they just stuck a sword in its mouth. It'd be better if it was somehow incorporated into the body better, like Samurott's horn or something similar.

5 🌊 Zacian (Hero of Many Battles) ꦇ

It might be a hot take, but Zacian's regular form is actually a bit cooler than its Crowned de꧒sign. The sword gimmick is just a bit weird, but the regular form is very graceful and beautiful.

The shaggy neck mane and the braids are elegan♈t and the chipped ear is a nice nod to its role as a war veteran. The lines around its eyes look like scars and the overall design itself is great.

4 🌠 Urshifu (Single Strike)

As mentioned earlier, Urshifu will have two different forms depending on how the player raises their Kubfu. If trained in the Tower of Darkness, Kubfu evolves into Single-Strike Urshifu, a Dark/Fighting-type. This form and the Rapid-Strike Form are very similar, so it's hard to decide which is better. They only have slight differences between t🌌hem.

However, S🅠ingle-Strike places slightly lower as it is ever-so-slightly more boring looking, by the tiniest margin. It look🐷s like a basic fighter bear, although the crown-looking hair is cool.

3 Urs൲hifu (Rapid Strike)

If trained in the Tower of Waters, Kubfu evolves into Rapid-Strike Urshifu, a Fighting/Water-type Pokémon. This form 💙barely edges out the alternative Single-Strike Form, mostly because it's slightly more intere💙sting.

Rapid-Strike Urshifu has more feminine design elements, from its longer hair to its wispy design details, specifically around the legs and hair. The stock pose♎s for each also lends Rapid-Strike the ability to seem a bit scarier, as though it's really about to tear into you.

2 Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) ꧃

Out of the four total forms of the box Legendaries, Crowned Shield Zamazenta is far and away the best. Although some fans mocked it in its 🎉early reveal, it's definitely a showcase of great Pokémon design as far as Gen🌟eration VIII is concerned.

Whereas Crowned Sword Zacian just shoved a big knife into a dog's mouth, Zamazenta's shield design is actually incorporated right into its body. The colors are distributed slightly better than its regular form and the result is a beautiful aesthetic along the sides of its 🌊shield and body.

1 Eternatus

Eternatus, the big bad guy of the Sword & Shield plot, is meant to look terrifying and otherworldly, and it does. The chainlinkဣ-like spi꧃ne of its body, the empty eyes, the purple and pink color palette, and the sharp points all over make Eternatus look like an evil specter that will mess you up.

As 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the tallest and heaviest Pokémon in existence, this guy is a force to be reckoned with, so it looking the part is perfect. Eternatus can also take a few bonus points as a Poison/Dragon-type Pokémon, which is a very interesting typing,𝓡 not to mention the fact that it's the only Poison-type Legendary.
