168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Uncharted is perhaps the most iconic new IP of the past 15 years. It ushered in a new era of📖 action/adventure games by mixing tight shooting with bombastic, sc♒ripted set pieces. Not every set piece is made the same, though.

At worst, they feel like on-rails segments where you have little agency over what 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nathan Drake does or how the events play out. The best ones feel dynamic, challenging, and still put you on the edge of your s൩eat on a second or third playthrough. The following list ranks ไthe best set pieces in the series.

10 Rail Shooting From The Jeep (Uncharted: Drake's Fortune)

The debut entry doesn't actually have many set pieces, and instead focuses on traditional shooting galleries and exploration. In many ways, its smaller scale and dedication to one setting helps Uncharted: Drake's Fortune from its sequels and makes it worth playing more than a decade later.

There is still one fantastic set piece in the form of a traditional rail shooting segment. Nathan fires from the back of a jeep while Elena drives. It ends with the pair escaping capture by driving the jeep off a cl💮iff into the water. It is a joy to see enemies flying as you blow up the vehicles with your superpowered weapon.

9 ൲ Collapsing Building (Uncharted 2) ও

uncharted 2 jumping out of collapsing building

Once you make it to Nepal in Uncharted 2, you are greeted by an intense series of urban combat scenarios. It's a refreshing and unexpected turn for the series up to this point since you are so used to fighting in jungles and ruins.

There is quite a lot going on in this sequence, but the most memorable moment comes when you find yourself in a building as it collapses. It's shorter than all the other set pieces here, but the detail in the scene is astonishing, especially for 2009.

8 💖 ꦛ Escaping Iram (Uncharted 3)

Uncharted 3 has the most set pieces on this list, which is probably why the game moves at such a quick pace. Like Uncharted 2, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you similarly find a lost city and it ends up in even more ruins once you leave.

This time, there is a more fleshed-out escape sequence where you leave the city as it crumbles. You even take have a tense fistfight with one of the game's main antagonists in the middle of it all. The fact it is so similar to what happens in Uncharted 2 knocks a few points off, however.

7 Escaping The 🧜Burning Château (Uncharted 3) 🦂

Leaping out of a crumbling building is cool, but Uncharted 3 takes it a stepꩲ further by having you escape from a house while it is slowly engulfed in flames. Watching a house burn is usually tragic, scary, and dangerous, but it is different here where the place is already abandoned.

Enemies are also there to liven up the mood. Uncharted 3 makes168澳✱洲幸运5开奖网: leaps and bounds with the game engine, and it is showcased here with how beautiful the fires look as the house cr💙umbles.

6 🌄 Jeep Chase (Uncharted 2) 🧜

uncharted 2 convoy

After the Himalayan village comes under attack, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Drake and Elena chase Lazarevic's army by following the convoy to an old monastery. Like most things in Uncharted, it starts with a good joke as Drake tells Elena to take the wheel immediately after insisting that he drive in the first place.

On the way, you contend with the enemies traveling by truck. Such a chase would eventually be outdone by a similar car chase in Uncharted 4, but it is still a thrill🐈 to play today.

5 ⛄ Sinking B⛎oat (Uncharted 3)

Uncharted 3 sinking boat

This set piece is harrowing and nearly🔯 unbelievable. It is probably th🔯e biggest one in the series up to that point. Nathan Drake has to find his way off a giant ship as it starts sinking.

There are even some small combat segments where you fight enemies as water fills up the room. Most of the segment is spent running from water as the ocean swallows the boat. It only suffers because it doesn't have a lot of story tension behind it. It just kind of happens.

4 ꧑ Falling Out Of The Cargo Plane (Uncharted 3)

A screenshot showing Nate fighting off a mercenary in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

After sneaking onto a cargo plane, Nathan Drake accidentally ends up sabotaging it, forcing him to find a way out as it starts crashing. Fight𒅌ing enemies in the middle of the air and struggling not to be knocked out of the plane by the large objects sliding out is a thrill. It ends as Nathan Drake manages to grab onto a piece of cargo and activate its parachute to land safely in the desert.

This set piece was so iconic to the Uncharted series that it's even been replicated in the film adaptation and is arguably one of the best scenes in the film.

3 Train Chase (The Lost Legacy) 🌠

Lost legacy car cahse train

The Lost Legacy has more in common with the debut entry than Uncharted 4. As such, it does not have a lot of set pieces and focu🌳ses more on traditional combat areas. It still ends with one of the most dramatic train chases in recent memory.

Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross work toꦦ stop the train from entering a city and detonating a bomb and potentially killing thousands. The chase feels dynamic, letting you choose between pushing 🌄forward through the train on foot or using the vehicles to gain ground.

2 Jeep 𝕴Chase (Uncharted 4)🌌

uncharted 4 jeep

Though a car chase where you face off against a convoy of enemies is nothing new by the time you play Uncharted 4, the chase in this game remains one of the bes🔯t because of its scale, the improved graphics, and the surprisingly solid driving controls.

If you include the drive through the Madag🅺ascar streets, then it becomes even more impressive. There are enough variables to make a second playthrough feel different. It really makes you appreciate all the detail the developers put into making the city environment.

1 🌌 Train Shootout (Uncharted 2)

A screenshot showing Nathan hanging inside a wrecked train in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

The sequence goes down in history as one of the finest set pieces in all gaming. Maybe the Lost Legacy's train segment builds upon it, but Uncharted 2's place in history solidifies this set piece as the best in the series.

It also works great because you slo💎wly realize this is the train Nathan Drake finds himself during the intro, so you spend the whole fight wondering where and how it is going to go all wrong.
