The province of Skyrim is a massive open world to discover, with nine holds, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:large and unique cities with their own themes, as well as various caves, forts, dungeons and old Nordic ruins. However, one locati🗹on type of the world that tends to go unnoticed are the towns of Skyrim, the small settlements of farmers and peasants.

Towns are probably the least well-developed aspect of the game, since they don't really 🐠have a greater purpose. While some are tied to a handful of quests, others are simply just there. The best towns will have tons of services and stores, as well as opportunities to make money, but sadly, the towns of Skyrim weren't made equal.

7 Helgen

Skyrim Helgen Town

Helgen is probably one of the worst locations on the entire map. This place is only relevant within the first 10-15 minutes of gameplay🐷, after which it turns into a complete ghost town. Many 🦩players might not think of it, but it's actually possible to return to Helgen after the initial dragon attack, though there really isn't much to see.

The only benefit from this place is that 🔯eventually bandits will actually appear in Helgen, and will attempt to fend off any intruders. It makes for a bit of loot and experience for desperate players, but nothing extremely noteworthy. It would have been cool to see Helgen brought back to life or rebuilt thanks to the efforts of the Jarls for instance, but sadly this never happens in the course of the main quest.

6 ☂ 💦 Rorikstead

Skyrim Rorikstead Town

There are only two reasons why the player would come to Rorikstead, and neither of them have anything to do with the town or its services, but rather separate quests. Erik the Slayer is the first quest which involves buying some armor for Erik, who then becomes 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a follower the Dragonborn can hire.

The second reason is the Daedric quest, A Night To Remember, whichও leads the player to figure out what happened while they were drunk. Other than that, Rorikstea🧜d is a small farming community with a🍨n inn, and Frostfruit Inn is just about the only interesting place around here. It's🔴 not worth a visit, at least, not without one of the two aforementioned quests active.

5 🤡 D꧟ragon Bridge

Skyrim Dragon Bridge Town

Dragon Bridge is unique from the rest of the towns due to its appearance. It's a small collection of houses, but what makes it so special is the ominous black stone bridge that con🍃nects the road acros🐭s the river that flows below. This place is important during the Dark Brotherhood questline, but aside from that offers few opportuniꦐties.

It has a tavern, which is always a bonus for some rumors or work, and the local sawmill does allow the Dragonborn to chop some wood. That aside, this place isn't anything special, and is only really relevant when the player needs to go find the Penitus Oculatus' orders during the Dark Brotherhood quest. On occasio💯n, the random appearance of a headless horseman might pop up in this area as well at nighttime. This is just a rand🔯om encounter and has no reward or quest attached to it.

4 Ivarstead

Skyrim Ivarstead Town

Ivarstead is a slightly busier little community just west of Riften and the lake, as well as its river. This is one of those towns that many players will end u🌠p visiting as they set out on their journey to High Hrothgar, since the path to the mountaintop begins here. However, like many of the small towns, there isn't a shop here, only an inn and a mill.

That said, Ivarstead is a great rest spot for players who want to make a small bit of cash by selling cut wood and food to the locals. Moreover, it's a 🌱perfect place to set up camp when going out to hunt for animals or even alchemy ingredients like bugs and plants. In this case, the surrounding area makes up for the lackluster services the town itself has to offer.

3 🐓 Ka🌸rthwasten

Skyrim Karthwasten Town

Karthwasten is among the three towns in Skyrim that's definitely worth visiting. There's even a small quest related to the town itself upon arrival regar꧋ding the Sanuarach Mine and its ownership. No matter how the situation is dealt with, the town will be available for the player to visit for any major b𒅌lacksmithing and mining purposes.

The mines themselves are rich with ores, and with two smelters located in th𝔍e village it's ideal to get some much-needed resources for making weapons and other trinkets. The houses themselves are also filled with ingots if the player doesn't mind stealing things. While there isn't a tavern, it's a fantastic location to gather a bunch of blacksmithing resources that would otherwise cost an arm and a leg at an actual shop.

2 🅠 Shor's Stone

Skyrim Shor's Stone Town

Shor's Stone is the second-best town in all of Skyrim🐽, thanks to just how much the player caಞn actually do here. Although the town lacks services like a tavern or a store, it definitely makes up for it with the myriad of workstations scattered around that allows the player to craft a bunch of items while stopping here for a break from their travels.

The town has a tanning rack for making leather, a smelter for any blacksmithing purposes, a forge and a grindstone. Players who are well-versed in the art of crafting their own armor and weapons will appreciate this little pit stop in the Rift before ✤actually entering Riften. There's even a cooking area where the player can dump all their meat to make some delicious meals for cheap health boosts.

1 Riverwood

Skyrim Riverwood Town

No town is as fantastic as Riverwoo🤡d. Not only is it the first town the player is likely to arrive to right after Helgen, it has just about everything one could hope for. In fact, it's a shame players aren't allowed to buy house or property in this area, as it would make a very quaint and peaceful location to live in, right by the forest, the hills and the river.

The town has both a blacksmith shop and a regular general store, so trading is easy and convenient around here. Moreover, there's even an inn where the player can stay and use the alchemy table for some basic crafting. A bunch of quests around here make Riverwood feel unique and vibrant as well, including The Golden Claw quest, tied to the main quest, A Lovely Letter, which introduces the love triangle between Faendal, Sven and Camilla, and of course 168澳♊洲幸运5开奖网:the meeting with Delphine inside the inn.
