It was pleasant for fans of the source material to see that the anime started in this city, in addition to being designed almost identically. The general design of the monsters i🃏n the anime takes direct inspiration from the games. With very few differences being visible from the monsters Ethan faces in the series and their appearances in the game (with﷽ the one exception being the Succubus).

3 Familiar Characters 🐓

The anime certainly added more character building to the many individuals the arisen meets on their travels, anime fans do expect more characterization than gamers after all. The series still managed to incorporate some major in game characters, notꦉably the knight Julien, and main love interest, Olivia. While the characters had their notable differences, it was still nice to see them in the series.

2 ⛎ Surpr🎀isingly Sexual

The anime series has a massive amount of sexuality, from extensive nudity, to intercourse, and this last one could be tܫriggering, so be warned, an outright rape scene. These were notably not present in the game, or the original story. These scenes were certainly strange additions, that have many players of the, more or less, wholesome source content confused. It almost seems as if these graphic scenes were placed in the anime to generate intentional controversary and free marketing.

1 🐲 A Similar Yet Much Darker Ending ♐

The anime had an ending that was somewhat similar to the game ending. It involved a major twist that genuinely shocked viewers, as the original had shocked gamers. However, without s🌠poiling too much, the game ending seemed to end on a much brighter note, with the anime ending being almost exclusively dark and depressing, containing only one minor silver lining. While at the very least, the ending left thಞe possibility of a season 2 open, it nonetheless left most viewers feeling quite sad, if not outright depressed.
